Re: Revolution - New NBC series this Fall

It looked like an ABC drama. I'm not sure if people understand what that means.

I couldn't do it. I tried watching the pilot both nights it was on and either fell asleep or ended up changing the channel.

Nothing interests me about the characters and I think the concept is actually pretty stupid.

Good luck for those that enjoyed it. I hope it stays on longer than a season or two. I'm not betting on it.

Unfortunately, while that may have been ideal, the show would likely have been cancelled before season's end if they went that direction.

Anyone watch the second episode? Still pretty entertaining to me. Hoping it sticks around.

Although I'm not in love with any of the characters yet(Nora, who debuted in the second episode, is probably my favorite so far) just like with Flash Forward, the story-line compels me to watch the show for as long as it last.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I had the exact same thought on the parallel with Flash Forward, which is why I'm hoping it doesn't go down the same path as Flash Forward of getting cancelled after one year.

I think I'm going to wait until I see this show progress some before I decide to sit down and watch these episodes.

Got burned by FlashForward and don't really want to invest the time while I'm at school.

On a sidenote, I still remember being really disappointed when FlashForward and Eli Stone got cancelled (Eli Stone was a completely different kind of show and it was cheesy as ****, but I liked it for some reason lol).

I don't see this making a 2nd season. I'll keep watching to see where it goes, but I think most of America tuned out during this episode.

Seems like a lot of remote settings so cheap to make. Show would have been better on SyFy.

We deleted it about 20 minutes into the second episode.

The premise interested me and the first episode wasn't bad. The second episode was a step-down, though, IMO.

If it doesn't improve over the next episode or two, I'm done with it.

I also am quite curious how they know where they're going. GPS doesn't exist anymore and they seem to never look at maps or compasses. They also don't follow roads and seem to be content to wander through the wilderness, yet apparently still know where they are going.

Reminds me alot of V by ABC a few years ago. I cant really put my finger on why though. Completely different shows.

I also think the premise is kinda ridiculous and I know that it will hardly be explained by the time the show is inevitably cancelled. For that I just can't devote my fandom to the show.

It's because it looks like an ABC drama. Not a bad thing but just one of those things I picked up on quick.

It's hard for me to explain but for me, or others I'm sure, when you've watched as much television as I have, you start to see these things.

It looks and films like a series that would have been picked up by ABC. I'm not sure if the Abrams touch has something to do with that or not.

But it sadly had an affect on me getting into the show. I instantly think of things like Flash Forward, V and The River. And all of those eventually disappointed me.
