I dunno, VEEP is funny, but at the same time there's just something about it that turns me off. Its like the clips from the show when they are advertising the show is funny, but trying to watch an actual episode to the end.. I just can't do it. Ms. Dryefus I loved in other sitcoms, but in this one.. I dunno.. just something about HER playing the role just bugs me.
Curb and Veep both do a lot of improvising, but that doesn't mean there's a ripoff of Curb (which I'm a big fan of also). That's like saying Modern Family is trying too hard to be like The Office because of it's mockumentary style.

None of the characters should be likeable, but they somehow end up being just likeable enough to watch for half an hour.

I think the cast is great personally.
