    Re: Dexter (Season 7)

Well I was wrong about Hannah not spiking Deb's water. I thought the writers made that too easy plus how she did it doesn't make much sense to me. But whatever. Season 8 is going to be one hell of a mess. I really hope all of those lose ends (Quinn killing Jason Gedrick - a Ukranian mafia member, the pyro setting people on fire, etc.) get tied up next season. Otherwise WTF would you throw those into the story this season and not resolve them at some point?

I'm surprised they didn't leave things at more of a cliffhanger. Obviously the fallout of what happened at the end has to be dealt with next season but I figured there was going to be more of a Season 4/6 ending. I'm just glad they didn't ruin all the amazing work they did this season. I might have preferred them to go in different directions for certain scenarios but I was still able to enjoy how things turned out.

Oh, and what the hell was the point of Quinn's storyline this season? I really don't think there was one.

Those flashback scenes were great. They really captured the feeling of the earlier seasons well considering things have changed so much throughout the show.

            And I miss Doakes too.

I think the cliffhanger is the fact that, while Miami Metro can think nothing of the criminals who fall off the map, they're definitely going to wonder about what happened to LaGuerta if she disappears or (in the event they find her) why she was shot with Deb's gun. I suppose they could've made it more of a dramatic cliffhanger if they had cut the scene right before the shot, though.

Season was definitely a solid rebound from the last 2, looking forward to 8. I'd probably rank this one right below 1, 2 & 4.

The problem with that is it's pretty obvious what happened considering all the events that occurred in this episode before that scene.

I'd like to think that with the writers making Batista less of a ******* this season that he'd be able to piece together pretty quickly that both Dexter and LaGuerta weren't at his party and Deb just happened to disappear.

Also, lol at Dexter showing up at the party in his kill shirt.

That's right they did. Now I remember. Dexter was going to kill the guy then called in the anonymous tip to the police. Sorry about that. Okay the whole Quinn thing is still hanging out there then.

Speaking of Quinn, I'm surprised the fact that he "kinda sorta" knows about Dexter never came up. Unless they're saving that for Season 8 or just decided to forget it entirely.

                        That ending MOTHA****A!

This season has been like '96 MJ. You had your doubts after last year (past few years for Dexter), but then you get a 72 win season (10 of 12 for Dexter) and brings the trophy home.

I think Jennifer Carpenter (Debra) deserves some acting nods for this season. Great performances, and that ending was full of impact. I would still put her conversation with Dexter and admitting her feelings for him as her best this season, and perhaps, her entire run on the show.

I don't know, her leaving the plant and walking off almost makes me think she'll just disappear into obscurity. Maybe she'll make a random appearance here or there but I doubt she returns as a regular next season. Could be wrong though
