I thought it was a pretty good episode.

This is the first time I've watched a season of this show, as it's coming out. I hate not being able to watch two or three episodes at a time.

Don't they do blocks and air two episodes at a time, occasionally ?

Based on the episode title for next week, I think it finally explains why Ted.....

refers to Lily and Marshall as "Aunt Lily and Uncle Marshall" when talking to his kids. Next weeks episode is about who will be the godparent for Marvin. I think it'll be Ted. It basically has to be him.

He refers to Barney, Robin, Lily, and Marshall as Aunt/Uncle. A lot of people do that now with close friends. I have friends whose children refer to me as Uncle, but I'm only the Godparent of one of them.

I've always felt like we may be looking too far into the whole Aunt/Uncle thing for the very reason Chilli just said. My best friend's baby mama/girlfriend refers to me as uncle Chase, when she mentions me to their daughter.

You may be right, but I just think it's trying to read too much into it.

Also, they didn't technically meet at the wedding. They met that night at the train station (which was confirmed by Craig and Carter). The presumption that she was at the wedding is there, but it's not confirmed. If it was Barney's sister, I would think that they would be introduced at the wedding itself.

Episode today wasn't really that great.

Ted-Robin storylines have really sucked. Robins storylines have sucked since breakup with Barney, and Teds storylines have sucked since breakup with Zoey.

Meh. It was alright. Ted and Robin have boring stories right now. Barney was just Barney, but I liked Lily and Marshall's. Of course, I may be biased... One of my friends was one of the potentials.

and after last nights episode... IM OUT!!!! whatever this storyline with ted & robin one-upping each other is just old and tired. feel like ive missed a lot of good shows over the last couple years after investing so much time into HIMYM

I didn't mind the latest episode outside of the few overly corny moments. Glad we're getting some more moments of Barney playing the field before the marriage.
