Zoey, Stella, and old Robin, but not new Robin or Victoria. At first glance I thought "eh", but after another second or 2, she looks really pretty.

Victoria was by far my favorite but different strokes for different folks.

I can't remember -- did they ever mention the mother had a sister?

And I wouldn't be surprised if they went with a swerve. The flash-forwards to Barney's wedding that were always changing come to my mind. I'm just glad they actually gave us something, even if it isn't what it appears to be.

I wouldn't be surprised by the swerve, and I actually assume this is just a swerve - but I can't see what they gain from it aside from constantly screwing with the viewers.

It was a nice moment tonight actually showing someone, but the fact that so many of us jumped to the "it might be a swerve" conclusion should tell us something.

Man, they should have dedicated more time to that than the last 5 minutes.

and for the record, Im pretty sure that she is the mother. Obviously in the 45 days speech Ted said that they will meet in 45 days, which if we assume it is in real time that would be 3 days from the end of this episode. Not a whole lot of time to introduce a new mother.

Besides, it would be pretty ****ty of them to make us think she was the mom and close the season with her. That would just be mean haha

But they have done similar, ****ty things, which is why quite of few of us have our doubts.


My go to TV Writer, Alan Sepinwall is convinced she's the one, so there's that.

I won't believe it till it actually happens on screen.

With regard to who mother is, they've teased us so many times. Didnt they have Chalke with the umbrella, and Bilson too I think.

Others too, that turned out to be pointless, that I just can think of right now

It was clear that Chalke and Bilson werent the mother though. I believe its the mother for all the reasons Sepinwall listed. I'm more annoyed at the time its taken to meet her and the fact that it looks like the wedding will stretch until probably midseason.

At least we'll be starting the season off with something of importance. The last few years it seems the start of each season has been complete **** until they get things moving.

What other ****ty things are you referring to?

Not that he was referring to this, but one of the co-creators, months ago, promised the Barney/Robin wedding for the end of this season. And while we're just before the wedding, it clearly hasn't happened yet.

Regarding the wedding, Thomas said on a conference call Tuesday (Jan. 29) that Robin and Barney will tie the knot by the end of this season. In the episode "Band or DJ" that aired earlier this month, the show finally pegged the wedding date as May 25, 2013, and Thomas says the writers are sticking to it.

"That will definitely happen. We are heading toward a set date," Thomas says. "We set it on TV, and we will stick to it. We've been seeing glimpses of this wedding for like three years -- we have to get there already, right?"

I'm sure they'll wrap everything up well next year and there will be some really awesome moments, but they've also been screwing people around for a while to fill time.

The man was Keegan-Michael Key, who plays the role of "Key" on the Comedy Central show, "Key and Peele." Absolutely terrific actor.
