I think that moment was set up to be an exit strategy for them if the show didn't go on as long as it has.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 8
I'm rewatching the show from episode 1 and after seeing it again, really crazy how diff the entire show would've been if they never said "And that's how I met your aunt Robin" at the end of episode 1. If Robin was the mother and they even said that after episode 1, don't know how the show would've been "how i met your mother" since it would've been about how Ted and Robin got married(and not just meet), but still would've been cool to have seen.
Also, whatever happened to Robins friends? In the first episode, that's how she met Ted(he saw her hanging out with her friends) but they were never seen/heard from again.Last edited by Majingir; 05-22-2013, 03:49 PM.Comment

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 8
lol, imagine if Teds wife had connections with one of the friends Robin had(or maybe Teds wife actually knew Robin and was supposed to be one of those friends, but she was sick or something(meaning that's why she wasn't at the table) the day Ted met Robin?)).
Then putting in the question...If she was there on that day, would Ted have noticed her, or Robin.Comment

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 8
But nothing major. I find that strange. Robin was basically with her best friends, and suddenly the moment after Ted talks to her, it's like she never saw any of her friends ever again and just completely ditched all of her other friends, to hang out with Ted,Lily,Marshall,Barney.

He probably would've noticed Robin. To Ted, Robin is the perfect girl. Besides their ideals on marriage and children, they're really a great match, and they both know it (and that's their problem). Plus, it's very unlikely she would've been there, since it's implied she's a bit younger than Ted; she's a student in his first class in Season 5. So I'm guessing in season 1, she was probably only 18 or 19.Last edited by DonkeyJote; 05-23-2013, 12:12 AM.Comment

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 8
Don't know if it's been observed but I was watching a rerun a couple days ago of an episode involving Stella and at the end, Ted goes "Seriously kids, never invite your ex to your wedding" or something like that.
Well, Robin is inviting Ted to her and Barney's wedding and it seems like **** is gonna hit the fan at the wedding so...Comment

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 8
I've been rewatching episodes everyday for past several weeks now. I'm around the middle part of season 5.
That line was a strange one. Wonder if they'll even mention it ever again or just pretend like it was a one or two episode thing years ago and that's it.Comment

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 8
First off, Bays wanted to address the new "wedding weekend" framework for Season 9. "And I stress the word 'framework,'" he said. "We don't want people to think there will be, like, four episodes of flower arranging... But, as we tend do on the show, we'll be flashing back and flashing forward."
The creators also revealed that there will be plenty of guest stars and references to episodes past in Season 9. "We're throwing a wedding and everyone's invited," Bays said. "If there's someone you loved on the show, we're probably bringing them back... We're in serious talks to get the pineapple back."Of course, one big holdover from last season was the infamous Slap Bet. Bays and Thomas assured the fans that they haven't forgotten about Barney's painful debt to Marshall. "There's going to be an episode that takes place during a slap," Thomas said. "That is real." As Thomas described it, the episode will be a frame story in which the episode arc will literally be intercut with a mega-slow motion slap.Bays added that what made the idea of Season 9 so appealing was the fact that, instead of revealing the mother in the last scene of the last episode, the creators now had an opportunity to explore Milioti's character and really weave her into the stories. "We want to get to know her, we want to see Ted happy," he said. Without giving away how or when Milioti will be seen, "know that we're going to get to know this lady."Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 8
Lots of news about final season:
Season 9 of How I Met Your Mother aired during the 2013-2014 television season. It's the final season of the series. How I Met Your Mother was renewed for a ninth and final season on December 22nd, 2012, with an official announcement made by CBS on January 30th, 2013. [1][2][3] The final season premiered on September 23, 2013 with two back-to-back episodes; The Locket and Coming Back. The series finale aired on March 31, 2014, also with two back-to-back episodes that were part 1 and part 2...
SpoilerJosh Radnor will appear older in the series finale although Bob Saget will voice him.
Season 9 will be "so distinct that you'll always be able to recognize a Season 9 episode."
The entire season will span during the wedding weekend and we'll see how every member of the gang meets the mother before Ted
Cristin Milioti (The Mother) has been announced as a series regular for this final season.
Season 9 will celebrate the show's 200th episode. (16th episode) and will focus around The Mother in a way where we will get to know her character more.
Bays has stated that season 9 will feature "Some of the most non-linear episodes we've ever done."
Ted will most likely meet The Mother in the season finale at Farhampton Station, concluding HIMYM's plot altogether.
Ellie Kemper will guest star as a character named Cassie, who is described as "one of the most attractive, available, and -as Ted discovers - unfortunate guests at Barney and Robin's wedding". Bays and Thomas have stated Kemper is set to appear in one episode this season.
It has been announced that one of the main cast members meets and interacts with The Mother in the premiere episode. It has also been stated that the premiere will make fans go "Ape-crazy" and that it's the "Best ever"
There will be an episode, in the middle of the season, where one of the slaps from the slap bet, will be the framing device for the entire episode.
Roger Bart has been cast as a guest star, described as "An employee at the hotel in Farhampton where Barney and Robin are set to tie the knot sometime this season" It is currently unclear how many episodes he will be in.
Co-creator Carter Bays teases how Episode 200 will serve up “very exciting information” about the titular meet-up.
Co-creator Carter Bays also stated that this will be the weekend Ted gets finally over Robin but that it wouldn't be smooth. " this is the weekend he has to really let her go" "and this is the weekend where he finds the thing he always wanted"
And about season premiere:
On their way to Long Island for their wedding weekend, Robin and Barney come across a startling family discovery. Meanwhile, Marshall sees something online that changes the course of his entire journey back east, and Lily confronts Ted about letting go of Robin. It's Friday 11:00 A.M. (55 hours before the wedding) and Lily and Ted are headed to the Farhampton Inn, however Ted's driving habits, such as driving too slow, wearing his driver gloves and slowing down to see the roadside...
SpoilerJames(Barneys brother) getting divorced. Season begins with the wedding weekend, so will be interesting to see that. Barneys brother divorced and him finding out about it on his own wedding weekend.
I was watching a past episode and Ted said he'd be Robins best man. I'm thinking that's true in this wedding? Maybe Ted-Marshall couldn't decide who's best man at Barneys wedding, but Ted ends up sticking with his original deal and is Robins best man lol.
And about the info I posted in spoiler tags:
Spoiler
I think Ted injuring his hand would have something to do with whoever Cassie is. Maybe "unfortunate" means like she's unlucky? Unintentionally causes stuff to go wrong at the wedding, one of those things ends up hurting Teds hand?
And sucks that Bob Saget won't be in the show at all(in person). Would've been cool that his first on screen appearance for the entire show(after being narrator for 9 years) is the season finale at the final scene of the show or something.
