Season premiere is tomorrow night. The prize is one million dollars but should the 1st place team in the 1st leg go all the way and win the amazing race, the prize is doubled to 2 million. Unlikely to happen but it would motivate people even more I guess. Some of the cast includes a double amputee, Megadeth's bassist and Chippendale dancers.

I was really into this show year's ago, when GSN was running marathons of it. I've been debating on getting back into it, but without DVR, it's hard to follow.Comment

It's good/bad that it airs on Sunday at 8pm. Cause it goes head to head with Foxs Sunday shows, but it's good when Fox doesn't have new episodes on, so then I can watch amazing race.
And for Canadians,unless CTV also airs NFL in the afternoon, they'll show amazing race right at 8pm. I remember it happening many times before too, where Canada ended up being up to 30 mins ahead of USA cause USA had football.
If I don't watch it Sunday, I'll prob watch it on Tuesday evening(cause that's when the on demand channel adds the show. Have to deal with no fast forwarding when watching it meaning I'm forced to watch commercials, but commercial breaks only last 1 min for the on demand channels)Comment

If you knew you were in a race for 1st, or a race to not finish last, then there'd be no point in helping people. But if you knew you'd be somewhere in the middle, you might as well help people out(cause maybe they'd help you out later).
The teams don't seem that interesting after the 1st episode. Last year I had an idea of who I wanted to win after the first episode, but in this season, I don't even know who I like/don't like.
Funniest part of this episode was how stupid the teams were. I think maybe 1-2 teams knew how to say Abacus and that was it. Everyone else was like Abascus abasuc and whatever else you could think of.

They're starting the show at 8:30 on nights when CBS has the doubleheader. Smart move so people won't have to add extra time to their DVRs.Comment

It's about time they started padding their schedule, it always pissed me off having to do the DVR shuffle just because they were too boneheaded to add some padding at the end of NFL games (extended game time, postgame show, or some rerun they could join already in progress).Comment

I find myself losing interest in this show. I love the visiting different Countries/Culture aspect but I think the casting hasn't been that great the past couple of seasons.
Some may call this cruel, but I want them to bring back the shaved head ff this season with a twist. If you decide to pass on the task, you have to go to the back of the pack or you must get a tattoo. We need to see how bad the teams want it near the end of the race.Comment
