Re: Game of Thrones Season 3 (aka A Storm of Swords)

Was in Vegas Sunday, just got to watch this episode. Few quick thoughts.

Was Jon and the three wildlings the only ones that made it up the wall?

Lady Olenna and Tywin's back and forth was fantastic.

They (true to the books thus far) have done a great job of making Sansa come off as clueless. She seems like the Cher Horowitz of the time.

I got a kick out of Lord Bolton reminding Jamie that while he had nothing to do with his maiming, he clearly doesn't feel bad for him given his ego.

Fantastic performance by Bart the bear in that episode. He was rather menacing facing off against Brienne.

In all seriousness, good episode. They actually did that scene well. Anyway I can't wait for the last three episodes. Should be crazy. Just wondering what big events from ASOS will be shown these last three and what will be saved until season 4.

Is it bad if I kind of rooted for Joffrey in his "face-off" against Tywin? At least the little prick has been slapped around, Tywin needs to eat some humble pie one of these days!

Lovely episode all-around. Ygritte being clueless about so many things is

Tywin doesn't eat humble pie. Tywin feeds humble pie to the rest of the known universe.

Re your spoiler. I hope not, there really isn't a reason for him to be in season 4 at all. (other than to keep him attached and not snatched up for movies or other TV shows.)

He was in this episode as well, hanging out by the camp with Osha and Hodor.

So with books 4 and 5 both happening at the same time, would it be safe to assume those books will be combined into two seasons also? Which would by Martin a little more time finish book 6.

I doubt they want a season where we don't see a big group of the main actors. So they probably take the first half parts of both books for one season and the second for the next.

In theory I think Martin has four years two write the next two books. I know some POV chapters are/were online already.

That's just it though. 4 years for two books seems like an almost impossible task for Martin. I personally would not be able to to watch the shows if they get ahead of the books.

Well....HBO could go the extremely dark, gritty route and simply make Season 5...
