the VIP section is more cash but well worth it for the comfy chairs the table that I can put my drink and food on... the food itself is pretty dang good... and everyone seems to be pretty respectful (not too many people talking or the like... although Mike Beasley did get kicked out of here once.)

Now I'm reading where some developer paid $30 million for this:

30 Million for that? That place is also horrible. The developer got jipped. Big time

I suppose any land in New York City is pretty pricey.

Here in LA, a lot of the older classic theaters don't have stadium seating, but those theaters usually have a balcony. When we go to one of those, the front row of the balcony is the only place we'll sit since my wife and I are both short.

                  That's a good point.

                    What's first run pictures?

We have a theater here that is also a restaurant. Everyone sits around a table with food and drinks while the movie is projected onto the wall. It's called Chunky's.

New releases. Theaters that get movies on opening day.

We have The Roxy in the Lehigh Valley Area. Still has the orchestra pit sitting there. I saw The Avengers this past Summer for the second time and while the sound was actually better than in the tuna can megaplex theater that I first saw it in, the place was packed and I ended up behind this Amazon woman who decided she needed to wear her hair up that night.

I'm glad I had already seen it once.
