      Complete face palm moment.

Just goes to show the depth of the writers because I'm sure most of us thought Frank would mop the floor with the head of the teachers union in a debate.

Even the teacher union guy thought that Frank was going to beat him in the debate.

Did not know until today that the actress who plays Claire is the same that played Buttercup in The Princess Bride and Jenny from Forrest Gump.

Just started, so I'm only a few episodes in... I'm hooked.

            The name is so fitting.

Also, we truly live in the golden age of television right now. It's amazing to think about the number of good shows on the air, with even a streaming service like Netflix commissioning a quality show like this one.

The wire, breaking bad, sons of anarchy, mad men, dexter and this plus others? Absolutely insane.

              Really?

She's probably more famous for being married to Sean Penn for several years.

This show COMPLETELY lost me when they had
                Spoiler

Awful, lazy writing. I get that Frank is a terrible person, but there was a genius to his work. When they had this happen, it lost me. It killed the character of Frank for me. I'm out.

I think Frank rationalized it as a mercy killing.

I can see your perspective on this.

Would've been a bit more realistic I guess if he hired someone to do it. Kinda unrealistic for a politician...especially one as high as him...having blood on his hands. That's unheard of.

Plus it would've added more to Season 2 for Zoe to piece things together.

Yeah, I got the foreshadowing to with the dog in the first episode. It just really made the show jump the shark for me. Took it into another place that I commended for not going to. I really enjoyed watching Frank work the system and his opponents and allies. This just seemed really out of place for the show.

I was just disappointed that they decided his character needed
                        Spoiler

He was displayed as an cunning and very unlikable person with a certain bit of charm. Now it just seems he is an evil brute. Very little redeeming qualities to make me feel invested in his watching his journey anymore. I don't know. Just how I felt.

Finally started this last week, and I just finished it. Awesome show.

                            However...

                              Bump.

                              From Beau Willimon:

I don't know, I kind of liked it.

If he would have done it in the first few episodes, it would have been entirely out of place and then I'd have an issue with it. But I think the writers did an excellent job with adding another layer to Frank's power grab. It wasn't above Frank at all at that point. It did escalate quickly, but it would have to come around to it eventually.

Obviously I'm a bit behind, but I just started watching this last night because I was trying to find something new to watch when I get in bed since I finally caught up on How I Met Your Mother (which is totally like the same as House of Cards, right?).

Anyways, I've always loved Kevin Spacey, and only two episodes in, I already love this show. I feel like Netflix hit a home run getting a show like this.
                                NFL: Bills
                                NBA: Bucks
