Though my least fave couple is that youtube team, hated them alot from the start, and hope they're out by next episode.
The team that won round one. Aren't they from Huntington Beach? I remember their intro had them on the beach with surfboards. Here is their profile: http://www.cbs.com/shows/amazing_race/cast/205062/

I blocked out the YouTube couple. Can't stand them either.

Also, I like the doctors, but I think they wi be this season's Beekman boys, but don't know that they'll win.

Worst episode ever. Doctors eliminated after making an easy challenge seem like the hardest thing in the world lol. Didn't the clue say what the 2nd detour was? So how did they not know it involved a helmet and all that?

And the father-son team is out of the race too(based on the preview of next episode).

What sucks too is how the "4 hour penalty" was only 90 minutes?!? Talk about rigging things. They knew fully well about the taxi boats not being open until a certain time, so they make a penalty that doesn't really hurt those teams at all. That was stupidest "penalty" ever.

And surprised there were no non elimination legs in the first 2 legs of the race. Really wish there was in this leg.

Only 1-2 teams left that I wanted to win. Just 2 weeks in, and 2 teams I wanted to win are out!

The better question is how do you go on the Amazing Race without being at least a comfortable swimmer? Or so afraid of heights you are too scared to go down a damn water slide? Why do the producers not weed these people out? It's boring when a leg is immediately decided because some team is too chicken **** to even attempt the challenges.

I did have to laugh my *** off when Kenny Powers landed his wife on the boat like a dead walrus. He got his hand in there deep too.

Lol @ dead walrus. Yeah, I got a good little chuckle out of that scene. His wife is definitely slowing them down. It'll be interesting to see how far they get. I was hoping the twins would get it together in time to beat out some of the other teams in the back of the pack, but it just wasn't meant to be. Not sure who I want to win right now. The only team that I really don't like that much is the newlywed couple. They just come across as real fake to me.

Yeah I wonder if they are really out or if it is just another deceiving preview. Unlikely but maybe the team with the 2 express passes gives them one and they cruise to the pit stop so the dad can rest his leg.

I'm glad the Doctors are out of the race. Man were they ever annoying! I'm from Chicago so I was rooting for them, up until they became little biatches about water. Really? Water??

You deal with women in labor and you're afraid of water?? WTF? Not to mention they're voice was really annoying. It was hilarious watching one of them almost drowning and having the safety team have to help them out.. lol Then he yells out.. "it's everywhere!" Referring to the water.. lol

Most likely they saw both challenges involving water and they panicked. They most likely chose the first one because the 2nd challenge sounded like they had to be in the water the entire time, instead of just diving for the pearls.

I don't think the producers could justify eliminating 3 of the hotter women from the 2 teams. So of course they "caught a break"

And my new least favorite team is the Asian girls.

Also, I never understand why you would take an old or out of shape partner into one these things.

The father who tore his Achilles, was doing well, but the fact that he knew it was his achilles when he got injured, made me believe that he's had that type of injury before. He wasn't doing anything too strenuous but running.

Kenny Power's wife is completely out of shape. Kenny Powers was the one that did all the work, and yet she could not run from the last challenge to the check in without being winded and looked like she could of fainted from running probably 100 yards.

I know that these are special people in their lives, but knowing you're going to be in a race, you would of thought they would prepare better. I can give the father a pass, since it was a freak injury, but the wife, you would of thought would of at least trained before coming on to the show.

For those that say, "Oh, it's just water", you don't know what may have happened to make them that petrified them of it. My wife almost drowned as a child thanks to a certain POS in her family. She now, almost 30 years later, is just coming to a point where she is able to get on a boat. It was awkward for me for a while since I grew up sailing, and have never been able to share that feeling with her.

I do agree that if you are going to go on a show like this, you need to be comfortable with a broad range of things because they WILL exploit your weakness at some point.

                    Continuation leg!

Don't know if David/Connor will be able to continue, they're hyping up next episode basically revolving around if they'll continue or not. Would they be first ever team to be eliminated after finishing 1st?

And now I see what someone else here was talking about regarding the "surfer team". I hate them and their whole alliance. If David/Connor and Bates/Anthony get eliminated, I don't care bout this season anymore. Max-Katie I sorta want to win too(they're my #3 team), but if they're the only ones of those 3 teams left and we're down to the final 5 or so teams, I won't care.

Re: The Amazing Race: Season 22

Shouldn't be that hard to find out, researching...

Andy & Tommy, Pro Snowboarders, Race 19, went from first to eliminated but there were only 4 teams left.

Amanda & Kris, Engaged, Race 18, went from having an automatic u-turn and still finishing second to being last and eliminated in the second leg (while not first to last, doing an extra task and still coming in second seems like an even stronger performance to come in last next leg).

Connor & Jonathan, Ivy League A Cappella Singers, Race 17, from first to eliminated in the fourth leg despite previous leg being non-elimination and team having speed bump.
Chad & Stephanie, Newly Dating→Engaged, Race 17, from first to eliminated in leg nine, but they got u-turned.

                      Steve & Allie, Father/Daughter, Race 16, in 8th leg.

I think I'll stop there, apparently it's more prevalent than I realized. This is mostly due to the catch up spots putting teams on even footing eliminating any possible lead, so a lot of times you essentially restart the race.

I didn't mean like one leg finishing 1st and next leg being last. I meant like they finished 1st, but eliminated at the same time(which is what could happen to them)

I hate these alliances, its not Survivor. They need to start giving clues that make the teams go to the same place, but have to stop at different places first. That way if the alliance doesn't pay attention, they can't advance.

Stopping at diff places could be hurtful due to distance. Don't really care bout alliances. Teams know this isn't an alliance game. It's not like you're voting out a team. And people who get upset cause "their alliance betrayed them" are stupid, cause this isn't a game with alliances, so who cares...

Yeah, alliances doesn't really matter much in this game. Unless the alliances decided to carpool together to get to the final destination, there's nothing that they could do to actually help each other out.

The Express Pass was the only thing they really did as an "alliance" but the surfer team only did because they knew if the father/son team would advance, they'd be easier to take out.

Anyone find it hilarious the guy in the newlyweds team was the bad driver? Looking at his fake tan, I knew he was an idiot and that the girl is the one that wears the pants in the relationship.

Father/Son team should of also sticked it out longer in the challenge and tried to catch a fish. Unless you were really an amateur, or had the worst luck, I'm sure they would of caught something and not be in last place. They could of saved the express pass later on in the game when they truly needed it. But being ahead of the group, they should of realized they had a little bit of time to at least try. I would of used the express pass at a challenge where all or most of teams were trying to complete it. That way they would of known how ahead of the game they were.

Pretty ironic that they won a trip to Thailand and some kickboxing classes. lol
