I can't say enough how great John Boyega Daisey Ridley were. Definitely a fan of both and franchise is in good hands with the new cast. BB8 is great too, loved that little guy. Oscar Isaacs was great too. Can't complain with any of the characters at all.

Introduction of the old characters was great too. Harrison Ford looked like he had so much fun being Han Solo again. It was great to see.

Everything you guys saw in the trailer that made you feel awesome, will do in the movie too. Can't wait to see it again.

JJ Abrams....that is how you make a Star Wars movie. I went through a whole circle of emotions watching this film.

It was as if Harrison Ford never left the role of Han Solo. Really have a soft spot for Rey.

              And I want a BB-8.

And 007 was in this movie???

That was awesome. So amazing. Hit every emotion. Was perfect how originals were brought back the way they were. Daisy Ridley may have stolen my heart. BB-8 is the cutest thing ever. Jeez, I don't even know that was such an incredible experience. I might say it's a top 3 Star Wars movie. I'll be seeing it again Tuesday.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

That was full of cheap pops, blatant callbacks, and telegraphed swerves

...and was completely amazing. Holy ****.

I don't want to rush it by calling it the best Star Wars film yet, but I will say as of now, only ROTJ is better. And that's subject to change.

Everything the prequels were, VII wasn't. It had well-placed humor, it had interesting characters, it stopped caring about trying to be epic with it's world creation and focused on character development, and for that reason it was epic. And I'm not misusing that word, Star Wars: The Force Awakens was epic.

Now, for my thoughts on the plot:

                        Spoiler

More thoughts as they come later.

Lastly, I see you dropping that trailer for Beyond before the Star Wars premier, Star Trek. That takes brass. I like that.

There's connections to be made, most notably the antagonistic device, but for every similarity between TFA and ANH there are two reasons as to why they're different. Feel free to quiz me on this, I'll back it up.

That was awesome. Like Watson said, plenty of telegraphed moments but none of them took away from the wow factor. In fact, the predictability may have made those moments more awesome in some weird way. Speaking as a casual at best fan of the series, I'm excited to go back and re-watch all of the movies and I can't wait for what's in store next. JJ knocked it out of the park and I'm pretty sure every single Star Wars fan is proud of this film.

Saw the first showing tonight because my 10 year old has been counting down days until this movie released...my favorite Star Wars by far and it really isn't even close.

It was funny, it was action packed, and it was fun...the characters were fantastic and the acting was pretty good. All in all, wildly surpassed my expectations.
