    Dexter (Season 8)

Teaser for the new (and possibly final) season was released. Nothing major, but still pretty cool nonetheless.

    Season starts June 30th.

This better be the last season. It will just start to become to far fetched if Dexter somehow goes without being caught or killed this season.

Not sure when it starts exactly, but Breaking Bad and Dexter might be head to head for a while.

They wanted to put it as the lead for the new show "Ray," while having their other new show (forget it's name) debut with Homeland I believe is the reason.

Not a full-on preview, but finally some Season 8 footage:

"I shot the wrong person in that trailer"

              Chills!

June 30th needs to get here now. That Ray Donovan show doesn't look too bad either.

That should probably be in spoilers for those who don't watch any previews.

Reasonable point, but Dex killing Deb on a code that he's been recently compromising anyway?...I doubt it.

                      Re: Dexter (Season 8)

It's finally official: this season is the final season.

"When it debuted in 2006, Dexter redefined the genre, by taking the anti-hero to new heights and pushing the boundaries of the television landscape," said Matthew C. Blank, Chairman and CEO, Showtime Networks Inc. " Dexter paved the way for the next generation of award-winning hit SHOWTIME series, and its cultural impact will be felt for years to come."

"Dexter is a landmark franchise for our network, and we cannot wait to unveil the conclusion of this series, as we know it, to the millions of passionate fans who have supported the show season after season," said David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc. "We'd like to thank Michael, Jennifer, and Dexter's indomitable cast, executive producers, writers and crew for eight incredible seasons."
I was wondering why it took them so long to announce this and was worried they were going to over-extend the show. Thankfully that's not the case though.

Here's a scene from this season. It's not too much but don't watch if you want to go in fresh.

I'm very happy this is the last season.

Deb looks hotter than usual in that preview.

So who wants to speculate on whether it's Deb or Dexter who dies. I don't see how this ends without Dex dying.

They did already establish that she was taking meds last season so it wouldn't surprise me.

As for Dexter or Deb dying, I think Dexter has to. I can't imagine a good ending to the show where he doesn't.
