    Doc Martin (UK TV Series)

I watched all five seasons of this show on Netflix over the last month or so and I have to say that it may be the best TV series I've ever watched. It's the perfect mix of comedy and great story-telling. I've never seen a TV show with so many twists and turns.

Doc Martin (Martin Clunes) is just such a great character. I think I love him because I can see a little bit of him in me (and most of us, probably). He just tells it how he feels and doesn't hold back!

I must say that it is refreshing to see a show that manages to be absolutely hilarious (in a dry humor sort of way) without the use of profanity or "potty humor." It's not as if I don't feel like they can be funny, but too often these develop into a sort of a crutch, IMO.

In addition, the scenery is just fantastic. The place in real life is actually Port Isaac on the north coast of Cornwall. I'd love to visit there in real life.

Anyways, the sixth season evidently comes out later this year in the UK. I'm not sure when they will air it here, but I am excited for it. I almost wonder if they should have just left it off at season five as that was a good series finale, IMO, but I won't turn down another episode of adventures!

Very good show. It's funny, but it's definitely a dramedy (comedy/drama) and it's dramatic moments are equal to it's comedic ones.

I'm at the 4th episode of season 2, so I haven't watched at much as you.

Thanks for the tip. I started watching it after reading your thread.

I finished the entire 5 seasons more than two weeks ago. It's a very pleasant and entertaining show, and there is no one else like Doc Martin. I'm looking very forward to the sixth season, which I think is filming now.

I tried to watch an earlier Martin Clunes (actor who plays Doc Martin) series, the original "Men Behaving Badly" but just couldn't get in to it.
