I was surfing netflix this past Saturday afternoon because I was extremely bored and came upon this show. It's naturally on BBC I take it, and boy has it WOWWED me. There are only 3 episodes to a season and so far only 2 season.
Like the title of the show, it's about Sherlock Holmes in modern times solving crimes and battling his arch nemeses James Moriarty. I must say though, the cast is just phenomenal, I live in America, these actors are foreign to me, however they knocked it out the park. Sherlock himself is just entertaining to watch, and Watson is his anchor that grounds him back to this world when he ends up getting too wrapped up in himself. I can't overly emphasis how excellent the cast is again, i'm a shocker for a good "who done it," and i love the fact that his character can just walk in a room and immediately deduce several theories; his ability to look at someone as well and instantly tell you about them is just pure bliss.
I just ended season 2 and can't wait for season 3 which looks to be premiering this September, just sort of sucks that there's only 3 episode a season and there's only one true season a year.
On a related note, I've been watching another show called Elementary which premiered fall of last year, another show about Sherlock Holmes in modern times. This show is very different from the BBC Sherlock one, but still entertaining never the less. Since I've started this show before BBC's Sherlock, im attached to it, but BBS's Sherlock is definitely a superior show.

For anyone whose interested in a modern Sherlock Holmes show, these two shows are very good.
