I don't think it's meant to fit any theory. Just one of the subtle things the writers threw in as another thing showing how Walt is just like the guy he spent an entire season trying to kill.

You're right. There is no way that Walt could have known Gus put a towel down before he threw up down in Mexico. Maybe it's a supernatural or egotistical thing you get from being a drug lord.

There is no doubt that Walt picked up on Gus' hygiene and neatness routines and this towel thing is one of them. During his first first round of chemo, Walt never put a towel down to kneel on. Although, there is nothing saying that Walt never saw Gus throw up before, or even kneel for some other reason.

Ok, this thread is becoming too much of a mess to read. Spoiler tags left and right, some for actual spoilers for later in the season, some are just ideas, and some are old things that people are just being careful about. We really need to label what things may be safe to look at. Kind of difficult to read a thread where every other post is a spoiler tag and you don't know which ones are clickable.

Edit: I looked again and it isn't as bad as I thought, but still, there is the occasional one where you don't know if you should click it or not.

In this bonus episode of Talking Bad, they kind of discuss the Walt and Gus thing. Vince acknowledges that Walt never saw Gus throw up, but he attributes it to the supernatural or something else.

Near the end of the episode, Vince talks about how the writers thought Walt poisoned Brock.

The show is also about Walter's transformation. His goals have changed, and he is a new person. This is an excellent breakdown of what the show is really about, covering the first three seasons.

The whole trait thing is just writing. It's a nod to the viewers. People expect actual explanations for everything. I don't get it.

My prediction for the final 7 episodes

After the final scene, Hank is now convinced that Walt is Heisenberg. Hank realizes the potential outcome of trying to take down Walt (such as destroying the family or him going to jail for using drug money for his rehab), but based off his character, Hank ultimately decides to go after Walt because it would be a greater crime in his eyes to not serve justice than to leave Walt alone.

Hank begins to compile evidence and understand the entire story. Walt, realizing that Hank is on the verge of letting the public know that he is Heisenberg, decides to use Saul's guy who can completely make him "dissapear" and change his identity. By this time Walt is no longer on chemo.

The public eventually learns that Walter White is Heisenberg. Skylar is arrested for money laundering and helping Walt in his operation and she is sent to prison. Walt Jr is off to college, but is completely mentally destroyed. The baby lives with Marie. There house is abandoned, but people know it was Walt's old house which explains the "HEISENBERG" written on the wall when Walt returns.

Although Walt completely changes his identity and appearance the DEA and FBI are after him. He returns to his old home to pick up the Richtin and he has the gun in order to defend himself. Walt eventually ends up killing Hank with the richtin. This plays on the evolution from nice guy walt to evil drug lord. Walt starts out in the first episode as a man willing that will die to save his family, but eventually ends up killing his family to save himself.

The DEA eventually closes in enough on Walt and he becomes trapped. At this point he finally realizes all the harm he has done to his family (Hank is dead, Skylar's in jail, his baby is with Marie, and Walt Jr will never be normal), and he kills himself with the gun he has from the flash forward.

I don't think the Czech will come after him because the final 7 episodes will be Walt vs Hank. The only part I have no idea is Jessie, I know he will play a big part but I just don't know what yet.

It's ricin, btw. But he has an assault rifle of some sort. That's not really a gun you commit suicide with. It would be awkward to shoot yourself with it, first of all, and second, if it isn't a lethal shot, now you have to figure out how to finish the job. As ricin is slow acting, it seems more likely that he would take it, go on his spree, and then be able to die on his terms versus other's perhaps. Or the ricin gets used for something else. I kind of hope they keep showing a couple minutes of flash ahead for each show so we can see what's going on.

Anyways, I think it's obvious Walt did the identity change to get away from the cops (possibly the cartel). I think Lydia will try to get Jesse to cook and even force him against his will since Walt will be gone or refuse. While Walt is gone in New Hampshire, Jesse will be in danger. Walt will come back to save Jesse. I also think Walt is going to use the Ricin on himself.

Assuming Lydia is still alive after episode 2. Gilligan teased a spoiler on Talking Bad, that aired right after the debut episode.

Gilligan made reference to Lydia's comments on "being put in a box" by Walt, and noted that next week's episode is titled "Buried". Could be a smoke screen but it could be a full blown reveal.

Does anyone else find the route they are going with Jesse to be extremely awful? The whole depressed-crybaby-preachy thing got super annoying. I feel like they took it to the extreme, and are just ruining his character.
