 Re: Godzilla 2014

You have to see Godzilla on the biggest screen possible even if it's 3d. The 3d wasn't great but to see Godzilla that huge was amazing. They did the better than I imagined on Godzilla, it was beautiful to see.

And you can't miss out on Godzillas roar on imax speakers, it shakes the theater.

Thoroughly liked the movie. GOJIRA is a frakkin BOSS. BOSS!!!!SpoilerLike get over here and let me put some atomic fire in your damn mouth boss.

Skip the damn IMAX though. I've no idea why some of you guys are recommending IMAX when NOT A SINGLE SCENE WAS SHOT IN IMAX FORMAT. I kept waiting for the screen to expand but NOPE. Go watch in Dolby Atmos, but there's no point in paying extra for IMAX when no footage was shot in the format.

 Pretty solid, nothing spectacular.

SpoilerYou have to keep Cranston alive longer if you want to focus on the story as much as they did. Those other actors just weren't up to par.Last edited by dsallupinyaarea; 05-17-2014, 04:11 PM.NFL - Vikings

Oh, I never watch in IMAX unless something is filmed in IMAX. But even then, you need to make sure you're watching in a real IMAX theater, like the Metreon in San Francisco for me.Thoroughly liked the movie. GOJIRA is a frakkin BOSS. But yeah, I just saw it on one of them digital XD screens. We don't have Dolby Atmos nearby to my knowledge (actually, we do at the Metreon, but I meant something that's not IMAX as well).Last edited by Blzer; 05-17-2014, 04:13 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Saw it earlier and really enjoyed it, Godzilla was a freaking boss, loved the fight scenes and that roar...man. Now i'm here watching Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla. smh-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

Went with the wife today. Didn't go IMAX We enjoyed it. I thought it did the original justice.

As for Gojira himself they did a helluva job. He looked so bad ***. And as been already said that roar.....

 Re: Godzilla 2014

Saw it today in 3D. Great visuals, but the 3D was mild to non-existent (actually looked around me to make sure everyone else had glasses on, and I hadn't messed up and went to the 2D instead). It was disappointing considering so many shots that could have gotten the "Pacific Rim" 3D treatment--wasted opportunities.

The movie itself was good, but not a must have to add to my collection. At least not at the first week release price.Comment

It was cool. Didn't blow me away but I was entertained. I could have used more Godzilla and less of some of the other characters.PS: You guys are great.

 Re: Godzilla 2014

I watched it in a real IMAX theater, not digital IMAX. I was under the impression, based on reactions here and reviews I've read, that IMAX was the way to go but I should have done my research to check whether scenes were actually shot in the format.Oh, I never watch in IMAX unless something is filmed in IMAX. But even then, you need to make sure you're watching in a real IMAX theater, like the Metreon in San Francisco for me.

Too bad, any scenes that had the MUTOs in 'em would've been fantastic in IMAX, especially Godzilla's first full reveal. Still a pretty good movie nonetheless.Comment

 Re: Godzilla 2014

After reading some of the initial reviews the hype had significantly decreased.. but I was still pretty bored with the movie. The main characters.. I mean how boring and completely uninspired, I definitely was expecting way too much out of a monster movie lol

The previews were honestly epic. Marketing was some of the best I've seen for a movie in a long time..Comment

 Re: Godzilla 2014

Looks like a sequel is in the works. Not surprising considering the amount it has made at the box office. http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansit...news/?a=100332"If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment
