Future Barney was shown 10 years later giving Marshall the exploding meatball sub a couple years ago, so that would put it past 2015.

Well didn't they say in the episode where everyone is smoking cigarettes that Barney's last one that he ever smoked was in 2017? So maybe he dies tragically and his last cigarette had nothing to do with him quitting?

The meatball sub episode was in 2011 so if they're in "real time" as they seemed to be before this season that would put him in 2021.

I thought the mother singing the song and Ted being able to hear it was really cool. I liked the episode a lot.

Finished season 5 in my rewatch of the show. I can start to see the turn of quality that season, especially with Robin. But there were still a lot of good ones that went along with the final season like the one with Cindy.

Am I the only one that thinks Ted and Robin should have just been together? I know episode one they say she is the aunt. But he was so into her.

Before they revealed the mother, I wondered if they'd throw some crazy curveball where he did end up with Robin, and the Robin he met in episode 1 wasnt actually the Robin we see, but a different one, that was Aunt Robin.

Am I the only one that thinks Ted and Robin should have just been together? I know episode one they say she is the aunt. But he was so into her.

Before they revealed the mother, I wondered if they'd throw some crazy curveball where he did end up with Robin, and the Robin he met in episode 1 wasnt actually the Robin we see, but a different one, that was Aunt Robin.

I liked Victoria the most, but only during the first arc.

When she came back later I didn't like her anymore, she was annoying.

Another great episode.

My only complaints: more distracting green screened backgrounds (like the lighthouse) and the last shot of Robin flying away was a little over the top. I get the symbolism between her and Ted's balloon but it was just a little weird.

Her flying away was strange,but the greenscreen stuff is so obvious in the stuff with those 2 guys.
