Plex is incredible though. It has the set up as a media hub server, where you can access all the files from any computer (my chromebook in this case) and from there I can cast the media to my TV. Just so nice to be able to sit on the couch and watch movies.
Welcome to the club. I'm a big fan of plex as well. Only minor issues I've had is getting the right cover art and data on some tv shows. Other than that, it has been flawless.

Yeah I had downloaded a file that had just numbers as the name, and it was renamed by plex as "Shrek 2", lol.

Anyone have an issue with your phone wifi connecting to Chromecast and then having it drop your wifi and not being able to connect unless you restart your router?

Just saw on slickdeals.net that newegg.com has the Chromecast for $19.99 + free shipping and google is running a promo that gives you 2 free months of hulu plus. Not a bad deal at all.

Depends on use case. If you need an on screen UI the Fire is far superior.

Both my Chromecasts sit unplugged, replaced by an Xbox One and a Roku for different reasons.

                Re: Google Chromecast

Yeah i don't have roku anymore but I do have an apple tv.

I have one room with a smart tv but another where i removed satellite and nothing is on it. Thought Chromecast would be cool because of the internet browser feature and all but i got rid of netflix last year and i am a prime member.

Meant to ask about the fire stick not fire tv
