Re: The Flash (Spinoff from Arrow)
lol, as soon as she took it off I thought of the post from here.
Season finale next week though, if they kill her off in this one, what will next week be? Her funeral + Barry going dark? Or is there some kind of major twist about the ending of this episode we're unaware of like some crazy "HR face swapped himself and Iris and it's really HR who died" stuff? Because that HR speech near the end sounded like one of those "famous last words".
But I really didn't think they'd end the episode like that. I thought they'd end it right as that scene began, or even just when Barry is running towards Savitar.
Reading theories people have on everything that happened, really seems like
SpoilerHR and Iris swapped. Before she even went to earth2. Only those two knew. So Iris as HR intentionally told Savitar where HR as Iris was because they knew he'd find her eventually and might kill to find out. And HR scene with Cisco was like Iris' little jab type tribute to him. So nobody knows Iris isn't dead except for Iris.
Whether she reveals this to everyone right away is another story.Last edited by Majingir; 05-17-2017, 02:18 AM.Comment

I hate to say it but
PLOT HOLE
Wife picked it up right away.
Cisco: Oh you can't go to Cabnus because it's the most secure building on the planet ANNNNNNDDDDD it will dampens your powers.
Barry: Oh okay
Wife: Well why won't they just put Iris in there and Savitar can't kill her.

I found Iris in S1 to be her best season. So much more depth to her character with Eddie, and not knowing Barrys secret for most of it, and wanting to find out all about The Flash and everything like that.

I don't see that at all really. Not even sure how they reached that far with the speculation.
And they didn't finish out the katlyn sisco fight either....basically built the show up to show us what they already showed us.Comment

That theory actually does make lots of sense to me.

Yeah but Captian Cold told him to think out of the box basically. So I am saying Iris is still a live. Something just isn't adding up.Comment

Maybe they can find away to salvage(IMO of course) the events of this season with the early episodes of the next season, but for me this season was not that great storywise.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Speaking of plot holes...Forbes has an article on some issues this season has provided (should be up your alley, 23!). While the show is entertaining, I've thought of some of the same things that's listed in the article.

They even mentioned something along the lines of what I said on there too... like just blatanly obvious stuff.

Thing is I don't want to come off that because I've enjoyed the season but some of the points of the show are just like o'rly moments.
The killer was Barry saying he'd do whatever it takes to save iris. Goes to visit Lila, but not John and Oliver. No Supergirl but freaking captain cold.
They put the smackdown on an alien invasion but he forgot in that moment he had other super friends?
..and the whole season basically built up to show us what they already showed us by the end of his episode.
I think the articles main tenant lines up with mine basically. This is a great show, but it could THAT GREAT SHOW if they'd eliminate the lazy cheezystuffComment

Re: The Flash (Spinoff from Arrow)
I still find Flash to be a great show, top 2 of the DC shows. But some of those "logic errors" you just have to accept because of obvious reasons(Supergirl/Oliver not being there since this is a TV show and you can't just have crossovers whenever you want for any given moment). These types of shows though will always be seen in diff light because of how much more attention to detail fans pay compared to other shows.
Though Agents of Shield does such a great job at the writing. Like their motto from S1 says "it all connects". Even things from season 4 still have moments which make stuff all the way in S1 make sense and they always find a way to make things come full circle.Comment

Re: The Flash (Spinoff from Arrow)
Its not about crossovers.
You can only defy simple logic so many times before you lose your audience in the area of wanting to stay submersed in the story's line of thinking.
They tripped over their own feet with plotholes all the way down to the end of this season, even though the show was enjoyable.
I'm not so much of a die hard that I'm going to damage control everything they do.Comment

Re: The Flash (Spinoff from Arrow)
Still, can't exactly have Green Arrow or Supergirl coming in and saving the day anytime something goes wrong for Barry. Sure, this is an extreme circumstance but still...
Not to mention Supergirl is kinda busy with the wholeSpoilerDaxemiteSpoilerChase
Barry did text Felicity and ask and she said she can't help, so he did have some contact with them. Though you could make same argument on Arrow too can't you? Why doesn't Oliver just ask Barry to run around everywhere looking forSpoilerChaseComment

Re: The Flash (Spinoff from Arrow)
You're focusing on the wrong thing..
The show has plot holes and has all season.
You can't damage control that. Nobody is asking for a team up.
The point ia they pull out the ridiculous at any point they want to.
I could name 5 unrealistic things off the head that doesn't make sense in Flash right now which negates your point anyway.

Re: The Flash (Spinoff from Arrow)
Yeah...23 is right.
There's some stuff that it seems the writers don't want to address and want the fans to just mock up as "superhero stuff". I love this show and it's my #1 TV show I want to watch each week...but they're going to have to get better.
The whole "I can't marry you" stuff from Iris was just bologna to begin with. Also, Barry thinks he can't change the future...I'm curious why Iris was wearing the same outfit as in the future vibe (stupid thought but still). There's just a lot of little things that kindly add up.
I still think...S1 was the best season of TV I've ever watched. If they make that into a movie with these same actors, it's $1B easily.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
