I think it's obvious if you were one of the people going with the future Barry theory(for once a theory is right!). Infinite timeline type thing. Barry becomes Savitar after Savitar kills Iris, Barry breaks up team flash, goes in downhill spiral eventually leading him to becoming so dark he turns himself into Savitar. The same Savitar who goes back in time and kills Iris.

Either way, great episode. Funniest part of this one is when they're all trying to figure out a plan and then HR starts going on and on, then Barry starts talking and HR is like "Iris, focus!". Lol, Iris just gives him that "what" look.

First time we've seen Gideon since S1...interesting change too. I hope that's implemented more as the season for Flash progresses.

I'm curious why Barry went to the future? I'm guessing that's a storyline that won't be pursued.

Forgot I posted this...remember when future Flash left a message that Dr. Stein found when the aliens came? With Barry wanting to change the future for Iris' sake, the message left about how bad Barry is could be foreshadowing?

I wonder if that'll be a topic brought up before this season ends too.

That'd be a crazy twist. Savitar says he knows everything because he's lived it already and that "future barry" trapped him in the speedforce(or something like that). Maybe he distances himself from actually being the former Barry Allen and everything bad that's happened in his life has one day turned him into Savitar.

What was that message Barry sent to the legends of tomorrow?

If you've seen last night's episode, it doesn't spoil a single thing. Just sort of confirms the reveal in a way.

How does this make any sense? The only thing I can compare it to is the Anakin Skywalker situation. He wants absolute power to save his loved one (his wife) yet it's his hunger for absolute power that kills her. Is this Barry theory similar!?

If they're using anything similar to the comic story, what you've said isn't the case.

But at this point, who knows.

Many people speculated that this was how it was going to play out, I was hoping that they would be wrong, but here we are. We'll see if they can write a strong finish escaping from the causality loop.

I did love how Killer Frost manifested her powers in this, In an X-men movie done right, Iceman would be doing more stuff like this.

In the comics (New 52), Wally dies 20-ish years in the future. He's in a car accident that also paralyzes Iris, and Barry doesn't get there in time to save them and completely takes all the blame. So he just loses it, and starts killing the bad guys. He realizes he has to go back in time and kill himself to completely erase the Flash which means nothing bad will ever happen the Iris and Wally. When he gets to the present (2015) he decides to kill present Barry and take over as The Flash. They make the Speed Force unstable, future Barry seemingly kills present Barry.

Barry wants to be known as Bart lol. That whole memory loss stuff was great. Bart freaking out about not knowing anything, then finding out he's in a lab, thinking he's being experimented on and then everyone's like "No", and Julians like "well...technically yes". And then asking Wally how they know each other and Wally saying they're brothers, and Barry just starts looking at his skin lol.

And they missed the perfect opportunity for Barry to just be like "Bye Felicia", because he thought Ceciles name was Felicia.

But storyline wise, I'm still confused at the whole Savitar stuff and what time remnants even are. Caitlin wise, seems like bringing Ronnie back might be her end game for joining up with Savitar.

And funny parts for me..They referenced Dragonball Z! The Flash looks up to Goku(or...maybe Future Trunks lol). Now things coming full circle. And yet another indirect funny Harry Potter moment...that bad guys name was Lucius. Julian trying to help put him away. This is ultimately bizzaroworld lol.

Question...trying to find the timeline here.

Wally sees Iris without a ring on her finger when she is killed by Savitar.

Iris and Barry break up from their initial engagement and she goes "ringless".

Barry gets engaged again with Iris last week so she now has a ring on her finger.

Sisco vibes the future and sees Iris killed the same way without variation.

If this season has proven anything, it appears attempting to altar the future by changing the present only proves to further cement the future. So would this mean something happens to Iris and Barry's relationship again?

23 always talks about plot holes so this is a small tangent I'm honestly curious about.

Tonight's episode cleared that up for me.
