I think it will be a temporary Earth 1 fix prompted by Barry's incarceration.

The fastest speed Barry has reached in the show so far is over 54,000,000 mph. When the show first started, he was barely reaching 700 mph.

Barry is getting too serious....light-hearted Barry is much more enjoyable, like what we had to start the season off.

Also, I was very intrigued by Devoe to start the season, now it just seems like a gimmick. He's not nearly as maniacal as I envisioned, at least not yet...I was expecting somebody miles ahead of Barry's thoughts, manipulating every move (with the viewer realizing it at the end of the episode). Just my $.02

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

The original actor playing him was good in that role, but now it's just a bunch of others playing a similar version of him. And the tension between the new bodies and his wife is dragging out a bit.

Agreed on all counts. I didn't care for this past episode and I usually like The Flash no matter what.

Lol, just thought I'd post this here.

Iris in an episode just over a month ago was like "embiggens is not a word".

Today... Embiggens has been officially added to the Webster's dictionary.

Most notable parts from all this of course was the endings.

That girl shows up again, but this time seems almost like she wasn't too happy with Caitlin/Wells(at least once they left)?

And Jay is "hanging it up". Sucks if this is gonna be the end of having him on the show. Liked having him in S1/2 as Barrys dad and then S3/4 as Jay. If anything, I wanted him on the show more, not less.

Episode preview for next week states that:

Yeah, the girl seemed pretty ominous. I'd also be bummed to see Jay leave. I preferred him a Barry's dad but I liked Flash Jay, too. Solid episode, much better than last week.

I'll definitely say it's the best episode in this season so far. They really built up the tension and made it seem like an impossible situation to solve.

Iris as the flash wasn't as bad as I thought she'd be. At least they finally acknowledged the whole job mystery.

Wells is gonna play everyone before this show is done. Cisco(somewhat) and DeVoe in this one.

Can't be unintentional with all these "Caitlin reaction faces", right? She just has the funniest and fitting reactions at perfect moments.

                              Meh

I liked the good guy medic dude who could eliminate powers and transfer to others..

Other than that, I also liked Wells' part in using the same brain helmet as DeVoe.

                              The whole Iris thing, meh.

Random fat guy wants money standing in the middle of the town.

Starts a tornado fire for no reason at all, just to amaze himself I guess.

Team Flash: What do we do?

Caitlyn who possesses powers to freeze who knows what: I don't know

Barry: Let's send Iris to start a tidal wave to defeat the fire tornado even though she couldn't extinguish the building fire.

Cringy writing, thrown in waste of an episode that started off good.

                                Funny seeing that.
"There's a fire tornado in the city! What do we do? Lets get someone from our team to put it out...Iris, save the day!"

                                Caitlin:

But one part of episode which was annoying(and has happened throughout the season) is Iris as the leader, telling people what to do. So basically people like Cisco and Caitlin who are really smart and should know what to do beforehand, just stand around waiting until Iris is like "Cisco, see if you can (insert some scientific tracking stuff), and Caitlin, try to (doctor stuff)".

Sure, she's the self-anointed team leader, but does everyone have to act like they got no idea what they're doing and need Iris to tell them what to do, step by step, as if some random former news reporter knows more about science and technology than people who literally work(ed) at a lab?

It's like they're trying to make her Felicity 2.0. Judging by lines in this episode, it's like she's trying to get past that (with all her lines about not wanting to just sit infront of a screen and telling people what to do).
