I would much rather read the books than watch on TV, but at this point I will take what I can get.Moderator

Re: Game of Thrones Season 4 (aka A Storm of Swords: Part Deux)
Martin has already told the HBO show runners/writers how the books will end should something happen to him. No sense in taking a show with great numbers and waiting around on Martin to finish the books when they already know what is going to happen IMO.

He has a pretty big hand in directing the show as well. I am sure he told them about the ending, but hard to say if someone could deliver his vision if he were not around to help oversee the project.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

True, but the show isn't really his "vision". Its his ideas trimed, edited, changed and morphed to fit 10 hours of television every season.Moderator

"Martin has definitely had a direct hand in the shaping of Game of Thrones, even though he’s only been credited with writing one script per season (so far). Now, it looks as if HBO wants Martin’s talents for arenas beyond the adaptation of his magnum opus.
Deadline has reported that George R.R. Martin has signed a two-year contract with HBO to both executive-produce Game of Thrones and develop an unspecified number of new series for the network."Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Facebook exclusive trailer. The scenes with Ramsay & Jaime/Brienne intrigue me.
Edit: Also, for anyone who wants to watch the red carper premiere interviews etc.
If anyone here does watch it, it'd be cool to get a heads up on what parts contain spoilers etc. I read the comments and I've held off on watching for fear of spoilers.Last edited by Leon; 03-19-2014, 06:27 AM.Comment
