Went back and rewatched Episode 1. Man, I miss Shane. I am glad that we got a lot more time of him though than we did in the comic. At least it felt like more.

Edit: Shane, Lori and Carl were all sitting near the CB whenever Rick called in, and you're telling me none of them recognized his voice?

I can buy that. They all thought he was dead, so they probably wouldn't recognize a random voice on a CB (probably coming in a little crackly) to be Rick's.

I'd buy it if his voice wasn't so recognizable.

Another thing I noticed.. I wish Andrea would've died during the second episode.

I wonder how many The Walking Dead videogame references you guys spotted.

              There were quite a few.

I think most of us stayed away from the video game because of how terrible it looked.

I assume you're talking about Activision's game since TellTale's version was on many Top 3 games of 2012 last year.

Thank you. I didn't think I had to explain which one I meant.

So, it took me an embassingly long time, but everything made sense when the old man's head was bashed in. Then the references clicked.

I think it's easy to assume which one I was talking about because of how terrible the reviews were, and how ****ty it looked whenever gameplay was released.

That's what I thought...with all the tension building at the prison, they flashback to the governor, and now it's like the struggle of a whole new group??

I love this show but it is getting too small minded... stuck in Georgia for 4 seasons, and now we have this Martinez led group that will have the struggles of every other group we've seen.

I think it's cool that we get a back story for every character and not just that one group of characters. Especially since it's like a parallel prequel or whatever.

What tension left in the prison though? The disease is under control. The only thing left is going to be Daryl's reaction to Rick when he finds out he kicked out Carol.

Seems like they're going to build up the Governor's group for another episode, which will potentially lead up to a showdown vs. the prison in the midseason finale.

It's called development. Like Sandman said, the biggest plot point in the prison has been resolved, now it's time for another big one to develop which is why we're catching up with the governor, his new group and how it inevitably leads up to another meeting with the prison group .

Also saying the show is small minded because the setting is "stuck" in Georgia and whatever your assumptions are of the this new group will be doesn't make sense to me. Georgia is the setting, for now. Should they be planning cross country trips with the already limited resources they have? Should creative be trying to divide the show's focus by having different groups in different parts of the country?

Maybe the spin-off show will focus on a different part of the country/planet. It's likely though that wherever the setting it will focus on another groups struggles in surviving the zombie apocalypse, what else would it do? That's the point of the show, what happens when the world goes to ****?
