Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)

I'm just happy that, according to Kirkman, we'll get answers about Terminus very early on in S5 so we won't have to have them drag it on.

The pacing of this season was incredible and such a big jump over 2/3 for me. Really hope this continues.

      REGULAR EPISODE
      Rule - 5 days
Whether it's The Walking Dead or Modern Family, Homeland or Sons of Anarchy, when an episode is over I am ready to talk about it.
However, I respect that most people don't watch TV as often and as frequently as I do. A five-day grace period provides plenty of time for viewers to catch up.

      SEASON FINALE
      Rule - 48 hours
A poisonous plant. A flash forward. A bullet in the head. Season finales are potential game changers. EVERYONE wants to talk about a season finale as soon as it's over regardless of how good or bad it was.
Two days is enough time for your pals to catch up on the program. This is important TV. Prioritize, people.

      SERIES FINALE
      Rule - 24 hours
A snow globe. A cut to black. A jail cell. However a show comes to an end, it's too tempting to hold back any conversation about it. You just can't help yourself. One day gives enough time for anyone to catch up without the episode being spoiled. You're avoiding newspapers and the internet all day anyway. After that...all bets are off.

      COMPLETED SERIES
      Rule - None
If a series has completed its live episode run, there's no such thing as a spoiler. C'mon, you've had ample time to watch The Wire or Battlestar Galactica. Shame on you for not catching it the first time around.
I'm not saying you should SPI here, but if you do, it's guilt free. It's all in the game.
These rules might be good for Facebook, but in a thread dedicated to the show.... not so much.

As for the episode, I loved it. I'm already ready for next season, but thankfully I have GoT, then BWE to keep me entertained on Sunday's.

I always thought that the dog was a set up by Joe and his crew. Joe thought the guy that killed their buddy was hiding away in the house. They send in the walkers to try and flush him out. Beth runs away, trips and falls, walker is about to bite her when Morgan comes and saves her.

Good point, when did we see Morgan again? It was last season right? Or was it the first half of this season?

I feel like the writers were sending a message with Michonne and Rick about how people become monsters. And but that it eventually goes away and you become the person you truly are. So maybe it was foretelling what happened to Morgan.

These Terminus anuses are definitely in trouble when they herd all their prisoners into one container. Pretty soon Rick will teach them his finishing move and they won't need guns to overpower whoever gives them milk first.

I thought there'd be more to the episode after Rick said the final line, but then it just ended. I envisioned a shot of Beth digging out the weapons cache because she's been tracking them all along.

Thank god for Game of Thrones next week. Waiting ain't gonna hurt.

On the buried weapons, the way that it was almost sentimental with Rick deciding to swap a regular, assuming, 9mm for the Rick Grimes special revolver, I feel that it will play in for sure. That Ty or maybe even Morgan would stumble upon finding the bag, and would recognize the gun. Would be cool if it was Morgan and he had a flashback to their time at the police station in the very first episode.

Why do people keep bringing up Morgan? Unless I forgot a line where he said he'd be around soon or something, I have no reason the plot involves him at all.

Me neither....and I don't feel bad for anyone who does and finds out something they wish they hadn't. If I don't watch the episode of this or any other show I don't enter the thread at all until I've seen the episode. It's just common sense.

Lennie James (Morgan) was originally listed in the IMDB credits for the episode. I'm not sure if he was in the show's credits when it aired. He's been removed from IMDB. It's what created the confusion.

As for spoilers; I don't see the point in arguing. The rules have always been the same on OS for all shows. You don't have to spoiler something that has already aired. Previews/interviews/source material are the only things that belong in spoilers. This isn't a new rule and has been utilized for years.

No, but he isn't dead, that we know of. Maybe he has become sensible and will stumble across Rick and try and survive with him.

I don't think anyone really has any objections to people not using spoilers once an episode has aired. It's common sense not to come in if you haven't watched.

What people don't like, however, is when people don't use spoilers for things that happened in the comics or things that haven't happened yet in the show (ie. previews, etc).

We expect there to be open discussion of events that have happened. That's fair game. But lots of people appreciate the choice to not possibly ruin any future events/themes. It's fine if you want to talk about stuff like that, but just be considerate and use a spoiler for that stuff.

The show airs at the same time throughout the whole country?

Now you're splitting hairs, LOL. West coast has the beautiful nice weather so us easterners have to have something and that's getting our shows a couple hours earlier and being able to talk about it on OS

The only thing that disappointed me was Rick's final line. I was hoping for a big speech similar to one he went on in the comics. It would've fit perfectly.

I really liked the episode tonight; the scene with the biker guys (for lack of a better term) was intense. I enjoyed the flashbacks with Herschel.

At first I was lol'ing at the shooting, thinking it was just cliche'd bad guy shooting until I realized that they were luring them into a certain area. That candle room was creepy.
