Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)

First 55 minutes were what I've been waiting for this second half of season 4.

Last 5 minutes were meh. And the line at the end was super corny. Thought he was going to say something incredibly thought provoking and profound, and that is what he comes with lol

    Spoiler

A little disappointing that it didn't happen, but they left some questions unanswered and set it up nicely for Season 5. Just hope the whole season isn't spent at Terminus.

I'm unsure about the Beth angle. I could see the rescuing thing come to fruition, because really what good would kidnapping someone do in the post-apocalyptic world? And it makes sense. Beth and Daryl get separated by a herd, Beth is running for her life as the guy living there comes back. They get out of dodge as quickly as possible assuming Daryl was dead.

Hmmm lets see why would someone kidnap a young woman in a post-apocalyptic world. Thats a silly question , theres not to many running around she would be of the highest value.

Well if you argue the rape angle, then yes that would be a reason.

I think it's sad that everyone wants to see people die. I thought the episode was pretty good. And I loved the last line. It made it seem as if bad *** Rick is back. I liked it a lot.

Maybe how Rick discovered that Peter (or whatever his name was) had Glenn's watch is the same way the writers wanted us to discover that Beth is now being grilled as someone pointed out that Mary had the same type of shirt Beth had.

So technically, if this is the case, someone did die, just not on screen.

Ok guys here are John Hein's (Howard Stern's TV Expert)spoiler rules

              REGULAR EPISODE
              Rule - 5 days
Whether it's The Walking Dead or Modern Family, Homeland or Sons of Anarchy, when an episode is over I am ready to talk about it.
However, I respect that most people don't watch TV as often and as frequently as I do. A five-day grace period provides plenty of time for viewers to catch up.

              SEASON FINALE
              Rule - 48 hours
A poisonous plant. A flash forward. A bullet in the head. Season finales are potential game changers. EVERYONE wants to talk about a season finale as soon as it's over regardless of how good or bad it was.
Two days is enough time for your pals to catch up on the program. This is important TV. Prioritize, people.

              SERIES FINALE
              Rule - 24 hours
A snow globe. A cut to black. A jail cell. However a show comes to an end, it's too tempting to hold back any conversation about it. You just can't help yourself. One day gives enough time for anyone to catch up without the episode being spoiled. You're avoiding newspapers and the internet all day anyway. After that...all bets are off.

              COMPLETED SERIES
              Rule - None
If a series has completed its live episode run, there's no such thing as a spoiler. C'mon, you've had ample time to watch The Wire or Battlestar Galactica. Shame on you for not catching it the first time around.
I'm not saying you should SPI here, but if you do, it's guilt free. It's all in the game.

I hope they go into how the others were captured , did they figure things out and put up a fight like ricks group or did they eat the mystery meat and go through with the song and dance they were presenting I hope they flash to that especially if we find out it was Beth for dinner and her sister took part .

I just don't get why anyone would come into this thread, after the initial airing, if they haven't seen it yet. They must want it to be spoiled for them.

Yup. I didn't watch the episode until this morning (and the rest of the season until this last week or so) and I stayed out of the thread. Doesn't make sense to come into a thread if you're not caught up with the show.

Man, I would really like for this to be what happens. Makes me want to go back to episodes Morgan was in and look for that car to see if that might connect.

Yeah I like morgan. Totally forgot about him and it would make since if he stopped being crazy and came back like Rick and Hershel did.

The guy who saved Rick (with his son) in the first episode.

I dont follow the saved Beth angle in the slightest. The herd didnt randomly go at the house. The way I see it the dog was used to scout the home (since all of a sudden there were sound traps at the door that the original guy wouldnt recognize) and 2 to get a horde to follow/attack. Wasn't it barking up a storm? probably making noise purposefully.

That dog had to have something to do with the car that sped off with Beth. Keep in mind Beth had a busted leg (maybe Im mis-remembering this btw). It could not possibly have been random.

However, you could ask what would be the motivation of someone sending a horde to the place they just lived at sacrificing all the food they stored in the home, as well as all the dressed up corpses. Maybe the funeral guy already passed, and the dog kidnaper guy is someone else who just recognized the sound traps on a house and decided to attack.

All things considered, I find it hard to believe the rescued theory. Beth wouldnt just let Daryl go like that. And the producers would have shown what happened to beth if it wasnt something bad that they wanted us to speculate about.

Seeing how crazy Morgan was last season where he attempted to kill Rick because he thought he was a walker, I highly doubt he's the guy in the funeral parlor. He wouldn't have that much sympathy towards zombies to dress them up for a funeral.

I am interested so see what happens when Carol and Tyrese come upon Terminus. The weapons Rick buried has to tie in some way too, but I'm not sure how he can get them. Even if some of the group runs a distraction, with the amount of armed people at Terminus, I can't imagine one of them escaping over the wall to retrieve the guns. There's no way that Carol and Tyrese know about them and they are the only ones left outside Terminus.
