The Governor now has a new fish tank.

I really think the Governor didn't want to be the new leader, that he just wanted to contribute and protect his new family.

But he realized that Martinez was weak. He realized that Pete was just Rick re-incarnate. They wouldn't be able to protect his new family. He tried to runaway from his old self, but realized he couldn't.

So he embraced it again. And I have a feeling that this assault on the prison is going to result in the fall of the prison and the deaths of some major characters.

Hershel has really turned into Dale anymore. I don't want to see him die, but I always like Dale better.

I really wish Glenn had something other to do than being almost dead or having sex with Maggie. He was my favorite character for a while, but alas.

My "predictions" on who's going to die(Rick's group only) in mid-season finale: Hershel, Sasha(turns Tyresse into basically a good Governor, doing things that Rick is hesitant about [similar to Karen]).

Also, why do I have a bad feeling that something bad will happen to Carl/Rick? I don't know what it is, maybe it's me thinking about what could send Rick truly over the edge (and not depressed Rick after Lori's death), but I really think someone needs to be a anti-Gov, but Rick won't allow that (see Karen.)

The Governor letting the murdered group leader's zombified corpse struggle perpetually at the bottom of the lake was one of the best scenes in the entire show. That was awesome.

How awesome would it be if the Governor made a bunch of zombies like that, then built an island in the middle of the pond. It would be his own personal zombie moat.

There are my thoughts from the mid-season finale from watching it(so expect random sporadic comments and my thoughts as of seeing the sceens.) So yeah, if you haven't watched the episode or just want to read what happens, click the spoiler tab, but if you don't, please don't click on it, seriously. I don't want people to be angry about this episode and it's spoilers, so if you reply to this, KEEP IT IN SPOILERS for a few days so that people can watch it.

• Well, I guess my thought that Carol wasn't the killer. It was too simple for it to be her, it ended the story too quickly for it to be true.
  
• God, Rick is such a little wuss. I swear every time he is passive about something, he gets his *** bit because of it.
  
• Damn it, I wanted the girl to peel back a hidden tunnel thing, but that was kinda awesome, Ground Walkers. AND DOWN GOES THE CHILD AND DOWN GOES THE CHILD. So, I wonder how the Gov's mind will react now, probably kill Karen or whatever her name is.
  
• *** ****, the Following literally looks like a bunch of people with Handsome Jack masks. If Butt Stallion doesn't make an appearance, I'm going to be angry.
  
• HOLY ****, the story that happens in the comics basically happens in the show, just with people moved around. Good lord. And seeing Hershel's head just laying on the ground was awesome and crazy. Well, that's one predicted guy to die down.
  
• Welp, here is the assault everyone wanted for last season. Down goes random man. OH ****, Beth and Judith are going to die now, and I'm calling Maggie dies or sees Beth dies. YES, THOSE KIDS ARE AWESOME, Carol taught them well. Oh my god that was amazing seeing those kids shoot the guy. AND DOWN GOES THE GOVERNOR, probably. Not sure how I feel that it was Michonne, but I'm fine with it. Was kinda expecting Lily to finally appear, but alas. And Carl makes the save, showing he's the ultimate bad*** and becoming my favorite character. I'm calling that the baby isn't dead, that the blood was Maggie's because she was bit or something.
  
• And there is my Lily moment.
  
• Well, that was an episode. I was sorta surprised at the lack of main character deaths and once again, I'm pretty sure Judith isn't dead. Somethings were predictable with loose knowledge about the comics, but still was fun.
  
• One problem I had was how the hell did Daryl survive that zombie shield? Come on, bullets don't do that, get that outta here. Yes, he's super popular, but please don't do some magical garbage to keep him alive.

-All season long there have been hordes of walkers at the fences and suddenly they're all gone? Even after they fire a tank shell?
- Rick can beat anyone up, including a very angry 250lb+ Tyrese, but can't take a 170 lb, one-eyed former fax machine repairman?
- Tyrese's daughter(?) can't even make herself walk outside, but suddenly she's in a gun battle and running around saving others?
- how many times has Rick risked life and limb to search for a lost loved one, but didn't take 2 seconds to see if Judith was still alive?
"Well, there was blood on her car seat - where she was STRAPPED IN - so I'm going to assume that the walking dead, who can't navigate over a pot hole, were able to unstrap her and make a nice snack out of my daughter.
I'm sure that blood was hers, and not secondary blood during the massive shoot-out we just had".

Season 1 was by far the best season so far and it's not even close.

What bothers me, is after watching shows like Game of Thrones and Ray Donovan, I can't help but wonder what HBO would have been able to do with this series.

I hope they fire all their writers and get back to people that could actually write themselves out of a paper bag.

I can't say this enough, but I'm going to cheer loudly on the day they [hopefully] kill Rick and Carl off.

I don't even know where they go from here when it comes back in February.

They have a lot of places to go from just the comics, since it follows it in the sense of locations. They are roughly at about Issue 48/49 and currently there are 126 issues.

I agree that the show's writing is mediocre, but none of those reasons seem to make much sense.

1. Hoards of zombies came towards the prison shortly after the fighting began.

2. The Governor isn't 170 pounds, and is a good deal bigger than Rick. Not to mention, the Governor has physically man-handled every character he's gotten the chance to.

3. Who is to say Rick won't look for Judith? The episode ended before he would of even had a chance to.
