Talk about what you have in yours (pics are definitely encouraged), what you wish you could have, etc.
Mine is under construction (literally, the house isn't done yet, about to start drywall soon) but I have been spending the summer saving up and buying items to go in it.
I plan on building a shelf/bar around the TV, with a couch/recliners facing it with a side table and a coffee table. Each of the table tops will be decorated with beer labels (been saving for well over a year now, have almost 300 DIFFERENT labels) and bottle caps. Then will have sports memorabilia around the room.
I now have (some I purchased, some I have had for a while)...
-Autographed Paul Coffey game-used hockey stick
-Auto'd Brett Favre SI from his ORIGINAL retirement (from the Pack)
-Auto'd Aaron Rodgers Mini Helmet
-Auto'd Tajh Boyd Mini Helmet
-Original SI from Clemson's 1981 title
-Auto'd Kenny Lofton baseball
-Original line-up card from a 1999 Indians game (back when Lofton, Manny, Thome, the Alomars, etc. played)
-Original Inaugural Season Charlotte Hornets team poster
-In the process of getting 9-12 Auto'd Charlotte Hornets basketball cards to display together.
-Auto'd Glen Rice shoe
-Dirt from Lambeau Field
-Race used tire from Hendrick Motorsports (back when Gordon, T. Labonte, Ricky Craven were there)
-A few coffee table books, 2 Lombardi Coaching books and a 1960s scrapbook from the Clemson vs S.Carolina rivalry.
I am sure I've left out some of the older items I've had since childhood. I also plan on doing something with the closet in the room since I won't need it for storage in there and it is large enough to put something of use in it.
One item I REALLY REALLY want which was on eBay for a while is a pair of Charlotte Coliseum seats, they were a touch out of my price range but I was starting to save up for them when the seller stopped posting them. I am considering hanging a few of my Packers jerseys as well (probably the Favre and White authentics).
I look forward to posting pics of the process and the final product when I'm done.
So fellow OSers, show us what you have in your Cave!
