Re: Amazing Race Season 23
The team that has to give up the express pass has to do it by the end of the next leg don't they? Don't see how they'd be allowed to do it after the leg is over(like they stated they'd do). I hope they do give it to the doctors, that would be funniest thing ever, a team demanding express pass and getting it.
Surprised no team asked for the express pass at the pole. They could've just been like "Give us the express pass and we'll tell you what you did wrong".
And sorta funny how the hockey girls were complaining about it being cold, yet their job requires them to be at a hockey arena for 41 nights a year. Sure it is in LA, but once you're inside the arena, it's still cold.Comment

Re: Amazing Race Season 23
Saw this online concerning Season 24.
SpoilerFrom Reality blurred
The 24th season of The Amazing Race has long been rumored to be yet another season of returning cast members, and teams who are allegedly participating have just been identified. They include Rachel and Brendan, of course/alas.
Nine of the 11 teams are from the past four seasons of the show, and all are from seasons that have aired in the past three years, continuing a CBS tradition which assumes viewers have no memory.
The teams were revealed in a series of tweets (1, 2, 3, 4) by the anonymous person who goes by Miss Cleo, who apparently joked about the source of the information to try to (get a team in trouble), and has been concealing the teams’ identities since June.
Typically, the race films from mid-November into December, for about three and a half weeks, depending upon the itinerary. Also typically, teams aren’t identified until the race gets underway and they are photographed in the airport and on their route.
Considering that production isn’t even close to starting, there could easily be changes to this list before then (just as there was for this season of Survivor, which had a last-minute substitution).
Here are the identitied teams:
- Jet and Cord, cowboys, season 16 and 18
- Andy and Tommy, snowboarder friends, season 19
- Rachel and Brendon, annoying Big Brother couple, season 20
- Bopper and Mark, best friends, season 20
- Natalie and Nadiya, twins, season 21
- Caroline and Jenn, country singer friends, season 22
- Dave and Connor, father and son, season 22
- Joey and Meghan, YouTube friends, season 22
- Pam and Winnie, best friends, season 22
- Tim and Marie, exes, season 23
Update: Trey and Lexi, the dating couple from season 21, was originally on this list but are no longer on the cast, if they were to begin with. Also, this post was updated to clarify that the tweet attributing the information to Jet and Cord was intended as a joke, though it did not read like one at all.

SpoilerOf the 10 on there, only 4 of them I like. I might just fast forward through the episodes and only watch the scenes involving those 4 teams. Probably the worst returning cast that any of the "big 3" shows has ever done. What is CBS obsession with Brendon/Rachel? They are HORRIBLE! I've never hated anyone on Big Brother(before BB15) as much as I've hated Rachel.Comment

Re: Amazing Race Season 23
I hope the order of the pitstop this week is also the final order for the season. Doctors winning,Getz/DeJesus in 2nd, Leo/Jamal in 3rd(I'd rather them in 3rd over the exes, dating people or ice girls)
And crazy to see how much the game changes leg to leg.
Tim/Marie were 1st then finished 8th the next leg
Chester/Ephraim were 1st,then got eliminated next leg
Brandon/Adam were 1st,then got eliminated the next leg
3/5 1st place teams have dropped 7-8 spots the following leg!Last edited by Majingir; 11-05-2013, 01:54 AM.Comment

Re: Amazing Race Season 23
I had never watched this show. However, a friend of mine and myself have always turned Celebrity Apprentice into a game, and decided to do the same here.
You pick a team. If they finish 1st in the week you get 10 points. 2nd is 7. 3rd is 5. 4th is 3. And 5th is 1.
To pick a new team you have to surrender half your points. You can choose to do so at any time.
I picked the ER doctors. I have 33 points. My buddy picked the ex's. He has 15. We didn't count week one. That's when we made our picks.

Re: Amazing Race Season 23
The U-Turn mechanic seems OP as hell. I dont really watch this show too often but I saw last weeks. It seems like a death sentence.Comment

Re: Amazing Race Season 23
While it has been in amazing race forever, I don't like the U-Turn stuff. All other parts of the race are about skill and luck. U-Turn is having your fate put in other teams hand. They should just keep the race all about how good you are and not about if other teams like you or something.Comment

Re: Amazing Race Season 23
Don't like the u turn either, might be OK if there was some skill involved, like having to do an extra task yourself to u turn someone else.
I also don't like the artificial catch up points that they pretend aren't catch up points. I get it that they don't want some team building up a lead, but in that case just have all the teams start at the same time every leg at some little challenge (something small and simple, just so they aren't heading out single file).Comment

Re: Amazing Race Season 23
I think they mostly do it to save money. So that they won't have to have whoever is incharge of the roadblock or detour, waiting around all day long for the competitors.
And they obviously can't have one team be a leg behind another team.Comment

Though if it wasn't for that type of leg....
Would've been gone already.Comment
