Ok, couple of questions I have that hopefully someone watching this show can help me with. If Dr. Hatake is so bent in keeping all outsiders/communications away, how did the CDC get involved? What purpose do they have? Don't feel like watching pilot again for answer/clue.

Anyone get the feeling that Dr. Farragut is a major fail as CDC Leader? I mean here we have one member of his team ill, (ex-wife) another dead, (Dr Boyle) another who's a conspirator, (Major Ballesaros) and another, (Dr. Jordan) holding up an infected secretly in her crib, not to also mention her own personal health issues. And yet, he was/is clueless to the whole thing.

Hatake isn't the one focused on keeping outside communications out. Major Balleseros acting on behalf of the investors is the one shutting down the comms. Ballesteros made some comment about the investors not being happy with the CDC being there and Hatake basically said he didn't have a choice given the severity of the outbreak.

It's starting to look like Hatake orchestrated the outbreak so that he could call the CDC to get Walker on site, since there is some link to her and what's been going on there based on her childhood drawings down on Level R

Peter told Dr. Jordan in the med supply locker that Dr. Walker was chosen, she has some purpose.

Really liking this. It has a Dead Space type of feel with the isolation and the virus and people trying to cover it up.

I'm wondering how long they plan for the series to go on. I think it is best to keep it to 2, maybe 3 max.

With the way they love killing off characters it certainly doesn't seem like they are planning to take it past one season, at least maintaining within the current story line. But based on the ratings I'm not sure it matters what their original intentions were.

With the way they love killing off characters it certainly doesn't seem like they are planning to take it past one season, at least maintaining within the current story line. But based on the ratings I'm not sure it matters what their original intentions were.

They're killing off characters no one has had a chance to care about. I'd be fine if it ended after this season and was just a mini-series.

I meant more they are killing off major plot line characters almost writing themselves into a corner where they are going to have to introduce outside plot elements that is going to erode the story even more if they want to expand past one season.

Eh I guess I should have clarified and said fiction shows. Not reality shows.

Usually when people think of SyFy they think of Sharknado and Dinocroc vs. Supergator.

Continuum is good, IMO.

I need to give this show a shot tonight.

Just got done watching all 5 episodes. Not bad. I'll watch the rest of this season but I don't see this show getting a 2nd or 3rd season though.
