Bad news.....starting in September,Amazing Race for the first time in 8+ years,won't be airing in it's Sunday 8pm timeslot! They've been moved to the worst possible timeslot imaginable...Friday at 8pm(aka Friday Death Slot).

Really makes me think this could be it for Amazing Race. After this season the show could be done. Survivor rumored to be ending after season 30(airing next spring), HIMYM ended this season,2 and a half men is ending next season, seems like CBS really moving on to a whole new generation of stuff.

That doesn't seem like a good sign at all. The good news is that football won't have it starting at random times, but I really hope that this show doesn't go away.

Hopefully it gets moved back to a Sunday timeslot for the spring season. Either that, or hopefully TV can just get popular on Fridays again because seems like all the networks are trying hard to make Friday another TV night again like it used to be in the 80s and 90s(specifically with TGIF)

Looking at the Big 4 networks' Fall programming maybe they just want to try one season on a different night. Friday night they will be against Dateline, Last Man Standing and MasterChef Jr as opposed to NBC Football, The Simpsons and Once Upon A Time on Sunday nights.

Not upset with the finale outcome at all. I didn't want the Brenchels or country singers to win, so no complaints.

That was a weird finale. They didn't show the flight to Vegas (or did I just miss it?), they didn't do the normal "put the things from the race in the order they happened" task, really none of the tasks were difficult the the deciding factor for all three was really just the cabs (Brenchels had a ****ty cab, they came third, Dave and Connor had a cab that was willing to speed past the other cab so they came first).

This was meant for Brendon and Rachael to win. In Vegas, no hard mental challenge, but they still managed to screw it up because they aren't smart like they think they are.

If I had been digging a hole with them throwing dirt in my hole and them continuing to do it, they may have ended up being buried in their hole.

Ha ha on the waiting until Brendon finishes his PHD, which I think he was doing since his first time on Big Brother. I think I saw something where he isn't even half way done yet.

lol, funniest part was the country singers cab driver refusing to give in to Brendon-Rachel(and then later telling the country singers what happened). I'd laugh if he actually knew who they were which is exactly why he didn't want to help.

The finale was designed so much in Brendon-Rachels favor. I've been thinking "conspiracy!conspiracy!conspiracy!" all season long and parts of this episode didn't help. No intelligence required,all that really mattered was how fast the taxi could go from location to location. Finale in Rachels hometown,at a location she worked at and the clue was "go to the employees entrance". Employees entrance at a place Rachel worked at....and she still couldn't even do it lol! Best part though was that somehow she still couldn't win and just started crying when they lost lol. I really hope this is last time ever she's on a show I watch, but rumors surrounding one show I watch state she could be on it!

The episode really didn't have that finale type of feel to it though, which sucks since the team who won was the one I liked. Now that season is over I can talk about why I looked at spoilers! Only reason I looked at them was cause I heard many teams I hated(the twins,the youtube people,brendon-rachel specifically) are part of this season and if those were the teams who dominated/won the season then I really wouldn't want to watch. I saw that Dave-Connor supposedly won and most teams I hated were out early,so I wanted to tune in because of that. I later saw some famous person post a picture on twitter with country singers and mentioning them as amazing race winners, so that threw me off abit at the end of the season.

Could you all imagine the mental breakdown the Brenchal's would have had at a typical season ending road block? Like putting together a puzzle with clues from every week? Rachel would have totally lost it...and I would have loved it.

Real stupid if true, but supposedly a big factor in moving the show to Friday was that they had lots of people(young viewers) saying how they couldn't watch the show on Sunday because it was too late...(Phil basically said this on twitter too)

Honestly, if people can't watch a TV show at 8pm because it's too late,then it's their own fault. 8-10pm is called primetime television for a reason,cause that's when the most amount of people are watching. If you can't watch a show on Sunday at 8pm, don't know what else to say....I really doubt Friday at 8pm is any better....

Not to mention there's something called DVR......If you can't watch a show, just record it! Or watch it online since CBS posts all the episodes on their site too.

For anyone interested....cast for next season has been announced by CBS already(guess they got tired of having cast members leaked on the internet so they just told everyone right away who's part of the season)

I'm bummed I didn't find this thread throughout the season. A friend of mine and myself used to have a game that we'd play along with Amazig Race. Then he got sick of losing and quit. Lol

Loved seeing the father/son team win. I was really rooting for them.
