Having a 50s Bruce Wayne in the first movie opens the door for a Dick Grayson/Terry McGinnis Batman in future movies.

I'm not opposed to Affleck, but if they wanted a 50-something Bats, I would have loved Josh Brolin in this role.

I think Affleck is perfect, first time we'll get a huge guy to play the Batman. And the shape he is in I don't think Brolin would have come close to that.

Movie got moved to March 25th, 2016. Smart move no matter if DC or Marvel blinked first, no reason to have this and Captain America in the same weekend. I would have seen both anyways so my wallet/time thanks them.

Guess they wanted to stake out dates a la Marvel. I have low expectations they can come close to what Disney has done across 10 movies so far, but hope they surprise.

I wonder who will be in the Justice League. Wonder Woman / Superman / Batman are pretty much locks, but I wonder if they will use the TV series as the model or what.

I don't think Batman needs another movie about him, as he's pretty much known in the general public and Superman already has his origin story. One of those is going to be Wonder Woman, which leaves four movies for them to create origin stories for the Justice League. I wonder if they will recreate Green Lantern in one of the last movies before the "Event Film.", assuming they do, that leaves Martin Manhunter, Aquaman, and the Flash.

Flash is one that really needs it, since he's been a popular character, but not gotten a lot of love in the movies. Aquaman needs to look like a badass, to get over the fact that people think he's a wimp and his powers suck, which they really don't. Martian Manhunter could be really interesting in how they put him, as they might have to focus on his powers that aren't like Superman, as a lot of his powers are similar.

That would be if they did the original seven, as the Avengers didn't quite do that. There is some hype for me for these movies, as really all the superheros are different than the Avengers, but I just hope they don't screw it up.

Aquaman (Jason Momoa) is a lock I would say.

Pretty sure him and Gal were rehearsing a scene this week together.

Something i'd like to see but it'd never happen is if they did Martian Manhunter as an ode to film noir/detective movies. Remember J'onn J'onzz started off as a detective within the police department. It'd have to be a pretty street level kind of film that has an open ended finale that leads to bigger things.

Like I said, not likely to happen but it'd add some variety to the superhero sub-genre.

Yeah, that would cool for a detective type of movie. That's what I thought Gotham was going to be, more about the police side of things, but they seem to want to show the supervillians too much rather than dealing with the mob side of things.

As long as they have it that J'onn is one of the most powerful beings in the DC universe, if not the most powerful.

Batman stand alone is for sure and Affleck will direct them as well as Man Of Steel 2. The Rock has hinted Shazzam in recent quotes or he might be Black Adam. Green Lantern needs to be redone, he's too awesome not to get his own movie. Aquaman would be sick if its based on Injustice character.

I wonder if DC will be different and have a number of team up movies. Not all JLA but have one lead and have other characters be in the same movie. Like having a Aquaman/Wonder Woman movie with WW as the lead and sprinkle other JLA cameos.

I thought thats what made Cap 2 so good was there were multiple heroes in it where as Thor 2 was just boring following him and the humans.

The team-up idea would actually be kinda cool as long as the "main" Justice Leaguers (whomever they designate them to be) get their backstories and have the side guys, like a Shazzam or Cyborg, be their for help, similar to Hawkeye / Black Widow.

I'm on the fence of a Batman stand alone. It would have to include a new villain that really hasn't been seen in the movie-verse (I would say Deathstroke and maybe redo Mr. Freeze from the terribly punny Arnold.) MoS 2, that I couldn't really care for, mostly because I don't care for Superman.

I just hope Aquaman, if he's in, gets an awesome origin story, because he really needs it. I also want to see if they add Talia into the movies, since Catwoman has been just done, as the romantic / villain for Batman.

Off the top of my head Affleck and Ryan Reynolds also carry that distinction.
