Re: Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice

My main concern of this movie is about Jessie Eisenberg. I am wondering if he will give us the Lex Luthor from the comics or the Gene Hackman version. If Eisenberg will give us the Luthor we know from the comic books, that would be the ideal situation. I hope he does, because we haven't had an ideal performance of the character, since "Superman: The Animated Series". That version really nailed the Luthor's character. That version is the best I've ever seen.

I really don't mind either, as long it doesn't become part of the plot. That's just annoying.

Re: Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice

Here is my suggestion for Jessie Eisenberg. Do a mixture of: the comic book version, the "Smallville" version, the "Superman" movie version, and the animated universe version. We all want to see a new version of Lex Luthor, but stay true to the character from the comic book. Don't do what Kevin Spacey did. Spacey just didn't capture the right kind of Luthor, that we know. Luthor needs be like the maniacal jerk that we know from "Smallville" and the animated universe. There's still that perfect performance we haven't seen, yet. Yes, they did a good job of doing their own thing with the character, but its not the perfect adaptation of Luthor. Eisenberg needs to give us that perfect adaption that is the rival of Superman. I'm hoping that Eisenberg can give us that. I'm hoping he doesn't mess it up like Spacey did. Give us an improved version of Luthor on the big screen that we haven't seen, yet. He should be the power mad President Lex Luthor and not the business man.

            Lex Luthor from TV's "Smallvile"

            Luthor from "Superman Returns"

President Lex Luthor from the DC Animated Universe

Lex Luthor from "Superman: The Movie"

This is a big rumor so take it as such but it is said that the film will be released in 2 parts with the first coming out this october. The below image is supposedly taken from the upcoming teaser trailer. I personally would love for this to be true but I think it's a stretch. http://www.aintitcool.com/node/69973

I hate how they keep breaking up long movies into 2 parts but if it's gotta be this way to create a long and detailed narrative i'm all for it.

Totally down for that. And it might be for the best rather than trying to stuff everything into a 2 and a half or 3 hour movie.

I think it would be a smart choice to have multiple sequels. The Justice League is something we've never seen before, on the big screen. As long they don't try to copy what Marvel is doing. DC Comics and Warner Bros. needs to do their own thing.

A two-parter makes more sense with all we've heard so far. I always thought TDKR would have been better as two movies.

That's pretty disappointing to be honest. I would have loved to have it split in two and get that first part this year.

More room to develop what will surely be a very crowded story would have been welcomed.
