Since Better Call Saul is now a real thing and not just an idea or hopeful dream, it's time we get this thread rolling to discuss the show.
New info is leaking out.

The series takes place in 2002. In fact, that's six years (2008) before Breaking Bad. If that's news to you or confusing, it's because it should be.

Executive producer Peter Gould says that the show will feature scenes that move back and forth over several decades, including the era where Walter White cooked and sold crystal meth.
“One of the great things about having a time line which is flexible is that perhaps some of it takes place before ‘Breaking Bad,’ during ‘Breaking Bad,’ and after ‘Breaking Bad'. That gives us the ability to bring back characters that were killed on ‘Breaking Bad,’ ” he says.

Better Call Saul is set to premiere in early 2015. As previously announced, Gilligan directed the first episode of the first season, which will consist of 10 epiosdes. The second season will consist of 13 episodes.
