Is this another Peter Jackson directed film?

I hated the peter jackson kong, to silly and the cgi looks terrible. I want a more serious tone to the film. Perfect example is rise & dawn of the planet of the apes they are not making a mockery of the material like burton did with his stupid apes remake.

I wouldn't call it "mockery" as much as I would call it "fantasy." He took the envelope and pushed it bounds beyond bounds.

Plus, you have to remember that move was a near three hours long and made in 2005. I have a feeling even if Jackson did direct it (well, then it would probably still be three hours long lol) you would see great advancements in CGI eleven years later.

I think he was referring to Planet of the Apes with his mockery comment.

Wait. I'm confused. So, in this version, when King Kong first grabs Ann Darrow, she's going to yell, "get your hand off me you damn, dirty ape"?

Yeah Burton's Planet of The Apes was just silly and goofy. I know Peter Jackson is a big King Kong fan but I just didn't care for his version. Plus the cgi doesn't hold up when you look back at it. The scene when the crew are running amongst the dinosaurs is cringe worthy & laughable.

Yeah, that was bad. But my point was that when you have a movie so long and full of so much CGI, I feel like they will make sacrifices in the end.

I don't think he would do exactly that again, though.

Yeah I agree with ya especially with the advancement in cgi jackson probably would do things differently now.

For me, Kong should have looked more like a monster ape (as in the original) than a real gorilla. But that's what Peter Jackson wanted.

So I guess this is a prequel to the 2005 film?

You must have missed King Kong's after credits sequence.

Michael Keaton & J.K. Simmons have left the film do to scheduling conflicts. Also the film is now slated for a March 10 2017 release because of delays on production. http://ca.ign.com/articles/2015/07/0...paign=Blogroll
