Re: The Walking Dead (Season 5)

I'm not sure at what exact moment this season flipped, but man I'm really loving the narrative of this second half now that it has all come together. I take back my earlier criticisms as they were a bit short sighted.

My only complaint is that it appears that are going to burn through Alexandria quicker than I was hoping. Felt like this place had the dymanic to carry a whole season by itself. Reminiscent of the feel that season 2 had, where it's more person on person combat (not literal) rather than the struggle against the dead.

By far my favorite episode of the season.

I've enjoyed the whole season up to this point. Also, those were some pretty brutal scenes last night.

By far my favorite episode of the season.

The last few episodes were build-ups to this episode, which is why I wasn't too keen on Alexandria until now. But not every episode can be as packed as this one, so you have to take the season (and total show) as a whole instead of going up and down from episode to episode. But hey, that's why we're here, to go back and forth and break down every episode after it airs. It's fun.

It took some time for the group to meet and form relationships with the people of Alexandria. They couldn't meet everyone and instantly know the dynamic all at once. Now we're seeing who's bad news... seems like most everyone, including some within Rick's group!

Daryl was eerily quiet last night, he's due for some action.

I actually think the leader (DeAnna is it?) of Alexandria is an asset. She didn't quite take Gabriel at face value at first before finally saying she would consider what he said. She was actually pretty understanding.

I could feel the tension between Rick and that lady's husband. Carol is so blunt in regards to that. LOL

Anyone else gonna die this season? We've had so many it seems. I really think one of the main players will see their demise; got a weird feeling it's gonna be Glenn especially with the news that Aiden has died. Isn't he related to DeAnna?

Well if it's either kill or be killed, I believe he was wrong.

If it wasn't a zombie apocalypse he would be right, but it's a different world they're living in and he has refused to see it that way.

I have to say I honestly can't remember them killing to many people other than the cannibals. Other than hasn't it been just Walkers and saving Gabriel life many times. He needs to go big time.

They do what they have to to survive. If they were such savages, they would've taken Alexandria. Clearly, that population is full of softy's. I guess there's the threat of them launching a mutiny but come on, they tracked THEM and asked THEM to come.

Gabriel is a punkass bitch. I feel like DeAnna may just off him herself for being a snitch haha

He's not even good at his job, either!

Gabriel is just a bad person who cannot come to grips with his own failings. He's horrible and I don't understand why Maggie didn't just call him out right there. He's the worst, he let his whole congregation perish, locked them out, and hoarded the food. Given his status as a man of God, that makes him the worst of everyone IMO.

Black Guys - The Real Walking Dead.

Gabriel has got to go, but considering Tyreese is gone and Every Walker Loves Chris, I don't think it's going to happen until the end of the season. Seriously, what a punk ***, useless piece of less than ****. I hope they off him and make him turn into a walker.

De'anna doesn't seem too pleased Rick & Co. are gaining more power within Alexandria, but I don't think she'll turn heel either.

Carol telling Rick to kill that guy so he can get some lovin, slowly getting that Shane look in his eyes.

I don't know... that kind of makes me worry for my girl Carol.

She has already been exiled from the group before and hopefully her wanting to kill Pete for allegedly abusing his wife and kid seems somewhat extreme. Hopefully, Rick doesn't turn on her for that. However if Rick has have some Shane-like thoughts about Jessie, then I'm sure he's "All In" on her plan to off Pete.
