Easier said than done after all they have been through, plus their guns are locked up and they can't just take them without the people there being suspicious.

Can't say I blame them right now feeling like they have to have some sort of gun just in case things go south which can happen rather quickly in the zombie apocalypse.

      Question to the comic readers:

Has the series reached its conclusion or are there still new issues being put out?

During a Reddit AMA, he said he wants to do at least 300 issues.

        We're at 137.

The current episode was basically issue 72 and part of 75.

Vague comic talk below, no spoilers..

It really depends on what route the show takes. Adding things that weren't part of the comic such as Terminus slows it down a little bit, but they also skipped parts of the comic early on in between I believe season 2 and 3. There's a part in the comic between the end of the season 2 finale to prior to them getting to the prison that was cut out.

The first episode of the Walking Dead started October 31st, 2010.. The comic was up to issue 78 at that point. If you count the time between the start of the comic and the start of the show (7 years) and how far we are into the show now (4 1/2 years), we can only assume that if they both keep the current pace, yes, they'd eventually catch each other.

Right now, not including side comics such as one's that delve deeper into certain characters like the Governor, they're pumping out roughly one issue a month.

There's always ways to stop that from happening though.

Someone said they can pump out more issues each month. They could always use an episode to go into each characters past. Darryl was made for the show because of how well Norman Reedus did during his try out for Meryl. They could always do a couple episodes going into his past if he ever finally opens up to someone.

There's too many factors to say yes or no, but at the current pace and if they didn't stray too far off course and I had to say yes or no, I'd say yes.

Well, seeing how the comics did a 2 year time jump between the last arc and where they are now.. the show could easily decide not to do a 2 year jump and create its own stories between that time.

It's still way to early to speculate that though, but it is always a thought and a way to keep the comics well ahead of the show... if that is Kirkman's plan.

As I said, IF THEY KEEP THE CURRENT PACE, the show would pass the comic. Eventually.

I don't expect it ever to and I stated reasons how they would stop it from happening.

Kirkman will just go to two comics a month. It's coming.

We've been through that already. No one is saying he won't.

I've clearly stated if everything stays the same, it could happen.

You'd be in the group that lives maybe 1/2 an episode..
