Haven't watched Season 1 of True Detective and for whatever reason wife and I couldn't make it through season 1 of Boardwalk Empire, but I've heard great things about both those series. Through in one old school show in Arliss that may or may not have been as good as I remember.Moderator

I've never really watched The Sopranos, Entourage or Band of Brothers. I've heard great things about all 3 shows.
The wife and I actually caught the last 30 min of the Entourage movie yesterday and we were both laughing our butts off. Might have to give that a shot.Comment

Top 10 HBO Series of All Time
I really need to utilize HBO Go more. I was absolutely captivated by The Wire. Borderline obsessed. I recommend it to anyone who will listen to me and even being about 15 years old is scary relevant to today and the issues we see every day. It just hit everything so accurately.

Hmmm, good question. I don't know off the top but if you've seen movies like 'This is the End' or 'Pineapple Express' and you liked Danny McBride's contributions to them, you'll likely enjoy it. I highly recommend it, hilarious show.PS: You guys are great.

2. The Wire (although the final season was, IMO, flat-out bad)

7. Luck (really a shame we never got a 2nd season...the last episode is one of the most thrilling hours of TV I've seen in a while)

*bonus spot for "Unscripted"...has anyone other than me ever seen this? It was fascinating in an odd, difficult-to-define way. It's like a show about failure, in a weird sort of way. And for whatever reason, it's impossible to watch it anywhere. It's like HBO and the entire free world are pretending it didn't exist. Mostly because it wasn't that good, but perhaps the whitewashing of its existence is part of the appeal? Or maybe I'm just trying too hard...Last edited by pietasterp; 03-09-2016, 03:41 PM.Comment
