 Re: 2014 Black Friday

Im needing a TV bad. Mine is a 42" LCD I overpaif for 6 years ago (1400.00). Im wanting to get a Smart TV. Watching the ones at Costco right now.

As for Black Friday, Ive gone out 2 times in the past 10 years. Last year, my wife and I went to Walmart in a small town just south of Houston and it was a great experience. No pushing, no shoving. Everyone was handing things out. Small town atmosphere so I may try this again.atleast..Its not DelawareComment

Same thing I plan on doing. Bought a stack from Amazon under $100 and I'm going to do it again this year, I'm hoping Destiny is on sale as well.Comment

 Re: 2014 Black Friday

Yeah I'm thinking online. I try to avoid the crowds and BF is the worst time of all.

Checked out some TV's. Looking for something good brand, about 35-40 inches, budget of $400. I was just looking at Newegg and Tiger Direct because I know they're mainly online technology specialists but I'm open to whomever.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
 NFL - Buffalo Bills
 MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Holy nuts! My family had a 50 inch Panasonic and it never gave us problems. That deal beats all my expectations and I may have to jump on it but...

That deal only works on BF, yeah?NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

 Re: 2014 Black Friday

Sounds like one of those deals where you will need to skip half of your Thanksgiving and be waiting in line hoping to get a ticket for it. I didn't read any fine print, but I can't imagine they will have that many in stock.Comment

 Re: 2014 Black Friday

It starts at 5pm, they start handing out tickets at 3pm which means you need to be in line at probably 1pm to get one of those TVs. Good luck.

However they will be having pretty good deals on Tvs from the 27th-29th so even if you dont get the $200 Panasonic you can still get a high end TV at a good price. They wont carry a huge allotment of that Panasonic, its just to get people in the store.Last edited by m1ke_nyc; 11-11-2014, 10:45 AM.It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment

 Re: 2014 Black Friday

Stores can open at midnight the earliest here in Rhode Island. Not that you're going to catch me rushing out to shop in the middle of Thanksgiving, but plenty of folks around here hate the law. Still doesn't stop them from camping out for hours waiting for stores to open.

My Black Friday shopping will consist of logging on Amazon whenever The Evil Within and Shadow of Mordor go on-sale for $25. I'll place my order then head back to bed.

We have a whole month to deal with annoying *** people while Christmas shopping. Probably spend our day off hitting up a movie and grabbing lunch somewhere.

Good luck to those of you trying to beat the crowds, though. Bring a weapon.Comment

 Re: 2014 Black Friday

I'll pick up Tombraider at $20, Wolfenstein $25 and Alien Isolation at $30, will be cheaper with my GCU. Hopefully PS Plus and XBLGold is on sale as well, didnt see it in the ad. Sorta want a tablet but IDK. I want a new TV for my bedroom but im just not sure if this is the time. And of course I'll stack up on Blu Rays and other things around the house. I never really shop for the door buster items. It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment
