Re: Supergirl (CBS TV Series)
Hopefully Ms. Benoist goes blonde for the role, interesting about Jimmy Olsen though, Wasn't he a female in the latest Superman movie? It seems that's the character that no one minds changing up for the sake of it.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Nope, that girl was just named JENNY. She's not given a last name in the movie or the credits.Comment

Oh ok, I had read before the release that it was supposed to be Jimmy Olsen turned into Jenny Olsen. I guess WB got cold feet after hearing some of the backlash.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I'm all for new takes on things if it makes sense, certainly does given the TV aspect of trying to do new things to keep viewers guessing.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Supergirl (CBS TV Series)
We talked about this on the Flash thread. The news has been out for over a week.
We examined the possibility of any crossover with Arrow/Flash since CBS owns 50% of CW. Time-Warner owns the other half.
And where does Superman factor in? It would be fascinating if they treated Supes like Norm's wife on Cheers or Maris on Frasier.Comment

Right, but they've also had a villain who tied helium balloons to people to kill them. I would take the Lumberjack over that.

Re: Supergirl (CBS TV Series)
Gotham's dark nature balances out the corniness. I was worried about Flash bc it would, of course, be lighter and pretty corny, but they're doing a good job. I'm not convinced Supergirl can do the same but we'll see.Comment
