Good moments with Supergirl and Cat.

Lord is a "heavy recurring" character, just not sure if they can lock up Peter Facinelli for the long haul. I agree he's a valuable character.

The whole concept of the Kryptonian bad guys on Earth fell flat for me right away, and is the weakness of the show. I disagree with you about Supergirl versus Kara, if for nothing else then the scenes with Hank/MM. They do need to get more creative with her opponents and situations, including not making everything a life and death situation for her.

If next season happens, please no Doomsday.

I had a problem with Superman showing up (although it was cool to see him, more like a blur). If he stays in Metropolis he's fine. Not sure why Kara wasn't affected, maybe due to her not growing up on Earth from a baby.

They said why in the episode. Since he grew up earth, had a human family, etc, his brain was more human than Kara's.

Well, he was more like a long way away. I didn't have a problem, because he was only slightly more visible then Norm's wife on Cheers or Nile's wife on Frasier. As long as he remains closer to a mystery than actually flesh and bone I'm OK with it.

            Supergirl oxygen deprived in space?

Alex using the young-Kara-pod to rescue Supes....with three minutes to go???

I actually like the finale, but it was far from perfect.

I found it underwhelming...only scene I liked was with Cat giving Kara a new role.

I was surprised JJ killed that girl.

The Alex VS Supergirl battle with mom intervention was less then exciting.

Maxwell's newfound respect for Supes was nice, and then all of a sudden he's up to his old tricks with Gen Lane and the Super-Gyroscope or whatever that thing is.

The Internet chat with her hero cousin worked well.

                Who's in the ship?

                  Re: Supergirl (CBS TV Series)

I LOVE the casting of Max Lord but it's been so underutilized! His lines are so well delivered and humorous...I wish they would cast him more as a Lex Luthor of the Supergirl world. It's like they kinda start to then veer somewhere else. The banter between him and Cat just seems to be so entertaining for a number of reasons - in fact, they kind of hinted at that last week?

I hope this is the last of Nan...I want a viable villain that I see as a threat and not just an uncle with an ego. The Kryptonian enemies and plot against the world just fell too flat for me.

I think they have a good supporting cast with Kara's nucleus of friends and potential villians (Max and Lucy teaming up, anyone?). I think Max and LiveWire would be a great team as they have such unique personalities... LiveWire's shows were the most entertaining as I really enjoyed the back/forth with her and Cat.

I want this show to succeed as I like the premise but the writing is going to have to get better in season 2; tonight's episode as a finale was subpar and left a bad taste in my mouth to look forward to next season.

I don't want Max to be that bad. Conflicted, yes, evil no.

Agreed. The Kryptonian bad guys was some lazy writing, and they need to improve the overall qualities of the scripts. Didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth, but the improvements you talk about have to happen in the season's probable second year. The strength of the show to date are Melissa Benoist and a strong cast.

Might as well be a super shark then, because it will forever be the moment that the show jumped it.

never understood why it was on CBS to begin with, it doesn't fit their audience and I think they did it to try to pull in young female viewers

show most likely also moving to Vancouver where the other Marvel shows are filmed, they are looking to cut costs

Yeah, was better suited for CW from the get go.
