    Too bad. Ratings are everything.

And this wasn't a small dive-"50 percent in the key demo and nearly 40 percent in total viewers from the Season 2 premiere." Variety Online

Shouldn't compare from S2 premiere though because that had a diff hype to it with it being the move over to CW. S2 average might be better number to compare to, though even that is probably higher than S3 premiere.

They really don't have the same feel to the show as the other DCW shows. Not really any great storylines or big time villains or anything.

Last year, Arrow had Prometheus who was about Olivers pas, Flash with Savitar who was about Barrys future, Legends with the LOD who were about all of time and Supergirl had Mon-Els parents who were there for like several episodes and really only got involved because they didn't approve of a relationship......

They could have Superman joining in the series I think that'd help too because the actor they got for him was good. Superman,Supergirl,Lena as primary characters, and then add in some big time villains and it could be a better series.

It's because they are pushing Alex's Lesbian relationship down people's throats every damn episode. So sick of it!!! Get on to a real story and get some serious villains!

They started out with that crap in episode two!!! I'm like damn we get it, move along and let's get back on Kara and some nice bad guys / girls to fight!

Yes I agree it's gotten to the point of being annoying. It's fine to have their relationship but when it hijacks the show each week you just want it to stop. I just want to see supergirl saving people & facing off against villians. The writers social & political agendas are hurting the show.

That story is just too forced on the show.

No secret I don't care much for Alex's character, but last week she at least had funny moments like when they made fun of how serious she is, and then when she cries with JJ she's basically like "we have to stop. People can't know we have emotions" lol.

                  Absolutely.

It's one thing if they have Cat Grant giving inspirational speeches to Supergirl each episode that helps her and which the viewer can ponder on.

...another for these side things which don't further the primary character.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Exactly it just frustrates the viewer & causes them to tune out.

Yeah, but could the ratings for the first episode be that tied to Alex's love interest because it was announced before the start of season three that Maggie would be reduced to a recurring character. Also, keep in mind that the CW audience is mostly younger and more diversified.

I initially like their relationship but I thought their chemistry diminished once they hooked up. The lesbian angle doesn't bother me at all, but the wedding seems rushed and more agenda based as you stated.

                      I haven't seen episode 2 yet.

Majority of each episode at least 10 to 15 mins of it is all about them and their relationship. More focus and emphasis on that than anything else. They even close with it at the end of the show.

So tired of it and it has nothing to do with young and diverse, it's annoying and there is definitely political agenda behind it.

This is a show about Supergirl the cousin of Superman, and yet it's starting to focus on everything but that, it's annoying.

I was surprised to find that there was very little screen time devoted to Alex-Maggie. A small segment about "band or DJ" which I found amusing and a sliver at the end about "kids or no kids". I believe the relationship is dissolving, but I doubt they kill Maggie off for reasons I can't go into in this forum.

I thought much of the focus was on Supergirl VS Psi, and the final payoff was excellent (Mind Over Matter

                          LOL).

Kara-Lena is always good and isn't it a matter of time before she finds out who The Girl Of Steel is?

How does she not know already. She knows Kara dated mon-el and that mon-el was an alien. He was also working with Supergirl and Kara is Supergirls main contact in the news. Can she really not put these things together?

Part of me thinks maybe she knows all along like Kat did, but in Lena's case she's not saying anything because she wants to see how long it'd take for Kara to admit it. Either that or she finds out one day and gets Lex out of prison to battle Supergirl and superman.

I hope they don't go the "bad seed" route that turns a very good person (Lena) into a semi-supervillain just because of Luthor genes.

I actually really like the way that they are developing Reign. The "I will destroy or take over the world, just because", villain is so tired to me. A fully realized, three dimensional antagonist is always the best.
