Laurie Metcalf is an accomplished actress who has no problem playing any role big or small. She has won three Emmys, a Tony, and received an Academy Award nomination this year.

EDIT: "The opening of the episode was the best part. Wasn't expecting that at all. LOL, she literally does put the KARA in Karaoke."

LOL, that went over my head even with the KARA caps.

It's important to bring recognition to the disease but I wish they would have pulled the Martian Alzheimer angle.

That line was taken from a past episode. The musical one with Flash where she tells Barry she can sing because her sister says she puts the Kara in karaoke.

I don't mind that other angle. If anything, just sets up a sad moment with him dying eventually. Although, for all the tech they have, you'd think they'd have something to boost memory. On legends they can "men in black" you, and on flash they have a mind booster.

IMO, that is the best Mon-El costume I've seen in any medium.

Speaking of new costumes, I wonder if they'll ever give supergirl pants. Seeing the earth x costume and people's recolourized versions of it, I think the costume would be better that way.

Just saw the latest episode. 2 episodes in since its return and these opening scenes have been the best moments. Last week with Karaoke, and this week with funniest line on the show.

              "........What? I like this shirt."

                Re: Supergirl (CW)

                Real good episode this week.

The worldkillers stuff seemed to come to a quick and sudden end. Still have Reign, but the other 2 are gone just like that?

Sam definitely has been the best built up villain of the series, maybe even best built character(minus Kara) on the whole show. Hope once Reign is defeated, they find a way to keep Sam around. Getting rid of Ruby is fine (don't get stuck in that Arrow mess having stuff involving raising a kid).

And this Lena stuff is sad. Does she actually not know who Supergirl is? She's been to the DEO, knows Alex/JJ work there, sees Winn working there too, knows James has connection to all of them, especially Supergirl. But despite all that, Kara has no ties to anything......Whenever the reveal happens, they better make it known that Lena has known forever about this.

I just watched the last three episodes today and I have to say I'm a bit underwhelmed. Your "........What? I like this shirt." reference was probably one of the better things coming out of those three episodes.

Reign as a badass reached it's height when she flattened Supergirl, and it seems like they've been treading water ever since that near epic moment. The "trinity" of evil world destroyers never interested me at all.

I think it started out that way but I think her awesomeness fizzled considerably. They need to resolve this quickly, keep Sam intact and DON'T kill RUBY!!

I liked the Lena and Sam stuff, but don't care for the legion story. If all 3 just leave next episode, I'd be fine with that.

I just don't see a good reason to keep Ruby around. She doesn't add much to the show, and CW hasn't done best of job casting or writing kids parts. At least not compared to Marvel /abc(though it helps lately that they've been using their own DC (Disney channel) when looking for some roles.

She's a small player in the series but if they're going to keep Sam around Post-Reign I think they'll need her more.

A fairly interesting revelation is Lena's production of synthetic Kryptonite which forebodes hostilities between her and Kara.

Speaking of which, we haven't had any kind of Kara-Lena interaction since the show returned have we? Yes, we had Supergirl-Lena, but no Kara-Lena.

She's only Lenas BFF, and not seeing or talking to her in over a month(show timeline wise), and not seeing or talking to Sam in all that time either, it just makes no sense. Wouldn't Lena try updating Kara on anything going on? Or wouldn't Lena be suspicious that Kara hasn't even bothered calling her? And Kara would have to act a certain way towards Lena given that she can't be mad at all or have any knowledge about Reign or Kryptonite or any of that.

To me its just like Batman having that kryptonite.

Sure you protect earth, but if you go rogue then we need a failsafe.

Yeah, do you get a feeling that Lena's mother would be proud?

Weak, lazy writing. They gave Lena a little break and pretty much put her out of the Supergirl universe for a while.

Oliver had kryptonite also. Though it is a different earth, and somehow he got it without knowing anything about Kara. But he even directly told her he has it in case an evil supergirl ever showed up.

I remembered he shot "Overgirl" (Nazi-Supergirl) with a kryptonite arrow, but I must have forgot the part about him hoarding ""K"" to deal with a bad Supergirl.
