Judging by that trailer, it doesn't appear that I'm a member of the target audience.

That's exactly what I thought when I watched it. More geared toward young women it appears.

I didn't watch the trailer but if it's aimed at young women it could maybe (possibly) garner the Buffy effect. If I recall right Buffy the Vampire Slayer in its first couple seasons was definitely geared more toward the tween/teen female audience and then it started to branch out to be more for a general audience.

Problem is, this isn't the '90s and I don't think lightning can strike twice with that formula.

The trailer was hilarious. And Olsen isnt a nerd because they decided to make Supergirl the nerd. Cant have two nerds as mainstays.

I liked her nerdiness, but it definitely does look more of a girl show than the other superhero shows we've been given over the past few years. Didn't look bad, kind of funny. I'll watch it.

Dont think it will last. A CBS show needs much higher ratings than a show on the CW and this show doesnt look nearly as good as Arrow or The Flash. I'll watch the pilot, but I'm just not a fan of the tone.

Yeah, it is aimed toward an audience that isn't necessarily inclined to watch the current hero fare, and I'm totally OK with it. I'm not greedy, there is so much stuff out that is made exactly for me, that I simply can't complain at all.

It could bomb, but I hope it succeeds. It's Supergirl, so I'll watch it for as long as it lasts.
