I knew you didn't want to downplay Superman.

My only minor problem with this episode and the series is the "phantom zone escapees" situation. Of course it's been done before, most famously in Superman 2, but at least in the movie there was more of a direness and urgency there because a handful of bad Supermen isn't a good thing. OK, they're not as bad as those guys, because apparently there is a planet saving principle at work, but I don't know if I'm crazy about this being the major plot line of the first season. I do like Astra-I just wish they would have done her as a solo.

Speaking of Astra, I took for granted she was Elizabeth Marvel, an actress I've seen in a lot of stuff, most recently Fargo (Constance) and House Of Cards (Heather), but I was wrong....that is not Elizabeth Marvel.

I can't believe she is only 36 years old. She looks older than that imo.

That struck me too. At closer examination the two are not quite the carbon copies I thought but they were but they are similar despite a ten year age difference.

If it's the moment in that video I think it is(meaning...
              Spoiler
              )
then it isn't really a huge spoiler, we knew it'd happen eventually, and is the typical type of things TV Shows have in promo videos today anyways(which is part of reason some hate watching episode previews).

Either way, the funniest moment in the episode:

Absolutely the best moment of the show.

Kind of on the fence as I wanted to see Cat push an agenda with these super powers but I like how they got away with it. I saw the two and thought immediately: "Oh, snap! That's awesome!"...then tried to figure out which one was actually Kara.

Maybe it's me but the fights and wars with Krypton/DEO are uninteresting. I like Lord's character and want more of Winn/Olsen.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I thought it was a hologram at first. Took me abit to remember/realize who it actually was.

but it is what it is. The obsequious boss/minion relationship is kind of tired to me, but we'll see how the story develops.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I never saw it coming, even though I know MM is a shapeshifter. I guess my brain cells weren't firing properly.

Disagree with your take on Kara-Cat. I really like their relationship. Jimmy, Winn, Hank (J'onn), and Alex round out a good group of characters.

Great moment when Hank and Alex remind Kara she can't keep a secret.

This is really a good show, but I hope the Kryptonian mini-army goes away, even if Astra goes with them.

Although the Bama-Clemson championship game is televised on ESPN Supergirl will not be on this coming Monday because of it.

Ending sets up for big things to end the season.

Am i the only one who doesn't care for the james-lucy stuff? Seems like only purpose on the show is to make kara jealous, and now she knows about winn which makes things even crazier for her. Winn likes kara, kara likes jimmy, jimmy likes lucy.

You left out Jimmy likes Kara, but I don't see the romantic chemistry between those two or Kara-Winn...at least not yet.
