Re: Marvel's Daredevil (Netflix Original Series)
I've seen just the first two episodes and I'm very happy with the writing and production of this show.
I think there will be people that don't tune in because it's a comic book show but really, you take away the name Marvel and it doesn't even feel like a comic book show.
It's a blind lawyer doing his best vigilante work at night. Kind of feels like a more action oriented Dexter to me.

Forget just happy. I'm super impressed with the writing and production.
I don't think I'll stop gushing about this series.
If this is the level of production we are getting from these Marvel Netflix shows, we are in for some great television. Good job to both companies.

Re: Marvel's Daredevil (Netflix Original Series)
Only had time to watch the pilot and you could almost tell in the first 5 minutes that this was gonna be good. Loved Cox in Boardwalk Empire and this will only elevate him in the acting ranks I believe. Most of all I like the pace of the story and how they are developing things. Not too fast. Not too slow.Comment

I've only watched the first episode, but to me it's basically if Arrow wasn't on CW. Which means it's really good.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Marvel's Daredevil (Netflix Original Series)
I love that everyone wants them to right all the wrongs that the non-Marvel studios did to our beloved B-level vigilantes. Can't say I can blame anyone based on how good this series is. If we're throwing Ghost Rider and Punisher out there, might as well add Elektra as well.
I just finished episode 7 and thought Stick was phenomenal. Completely true to the comic and just added a whole layer of depth to the show.
I'm also going to be in the minority but I think Fisk was just okay so far (not the greatest on-screen Marvel villain ever like many of the reviews state), and I also think Foggy was amazing, despite many online finding him annoying/over-acted.
Love me some Karen Page, btw.Spoilerwhich is basically his origin episode.
SpoilerThat beat down he gave the Russian earlier in the series was something.Comment

Episode 2
SpoilerThat beat down at the end reminded me of the hallway scene in Oldboy. Good direction there
Show got me hooked, surprised Marvel going dark but i'm loving it.Last edited by RockinDaMike; 04-11-2015, 12:40 PM.Comment

Re: Marvel's Daredevil (Netflix Original Series)
There might be a few story choices that I quibble with, but to me this was basically a flawless rendition. I thought the casting was perfect. Every support character came off as much more interesting in this live action version than they do in their comic forms, IMO. Of course the writers not having to take into account teen and pre-teen customers makes things much easier.
I know that there are billions and billions to be made from movies versions of this genre, but the narrative really shines in this format. This was an outstanding debut for Marvel's street level heroes.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Re: Marvel's Daredevil (Netflix Original Series)
Right now I'm watching every episode twice. I love it thus far. I still have all of my old DareDevil books I mean from the late 80's early 90's. I like the representation. Now I need Marvel to start working on Moon Knight.Last edited by LBzrule; 04-11-2015, 03:55 PM.Comment

Don't you love it when something like this comes along and revitalizes your love for a character. I haven't watched but will tonight with my wife.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Marvel's Daredevil (Netflix Original Series)
This is actually true.... when they started in with the pilot and sticking to the most basic of scripts, I was really feelin' it. It was another one of those moments where the film industry took a beloved character from my childhood and brought him (and his compadres) to life.Comment

How is the comic? Any good right now?
