Crazy episode. I don't get how all this happens cause Sara and Ray aren't around. With them, somehow star city is saved,but without them Team Arrow sucks? If so, then how are they insignificant to the timeline? Rip recruited them cause they made no difference...last time i checked, a city being saved vs destroyed sounds like big difference.

And Rip said after the mission is done, he'll return them to 2016.....if they play a big role in saving Team Arrow/Star City in 2016, won't that mean this show would have to end soon? Cause Slade returns in some way in 2016 apparently, but if Sara and Ray help beat him, then they need to be around on Arrow to do it, something that won't happen unless this show ends before that moment.

Who said it started in 2016? Slade didn't start the Uprising as they call it; His son Grant did. The kid looked pretty young in 2046. Either Slade gets out and has a kid or they really stretch it and call him 32 years old and Slade knocked someone up before he got sent to Lian Yu. Either way the kid would be at best around 2 years old in 2016.

I would totally watch a show where Diggle Jr and Old Green Arrow try to fix that city.

Oliver said that they might have been able to win in 2016 with Sara and Ray helping. Slades son took over 15 years ago i believe (2031) but he knew all about Sara, so Slade obviously had long enough time with him to teach him everything.

Uprising started in 2031.

All Oliver says is that they left in 2016 and never came back.

You guys are forgetting this was just a possible future. Basically, this is the version wherein the Legends team don't come back to their original timeline. It's not SET, because the whole team is still very much continuing their original mission and are capable of going back to their original timeline.

Still, all this happened simply cause Sara and Ray weren't around? Kinda makes team arrow look weak. Somehow between 2016-2031, Slade got free, had a son, trained his son and built up an army? Team Arrow couldn't stop any of that, but Sara and Ray can?

If all this happened simply cause they weren't around, then Hunter lied. Sara and Ray aren't insignificant to the timeline at all if they had this much impact.

It was Oliver who said it happened because they weren't around. The guy who was bitter because he lost his arm, every person he cared about, his city and then saw his friends who weren't there to help him.

And honestly the Flash would just save the day if this was going to happen in a real timeline. These guys are human.

That's another thing too. Is Firestorm really insignificant to Flash timeline? I'd have thought Firestorm would've been a contributing character on Flash when needed. The one metahuman on Team Flash.

Just caught up with the last episode. Did anyone else find it odd that when they were all surrounded by the time pirates that Stein & Jackson didn't merge into Firestorm?
