For a TV show, talk of a preview seen should be spoiler tagged. Not everyone wants to watch previews for the upcoming week.

I stay out of all story driven video game threads as well post release. Since, it usually takes me longer to finish games than most.Comment

Re: The Spoiler Tag Rules
Exact reason I haven't ventured into the Avengers 2 thread...whether it's spoilers or just general thoughts of "It's awesome!!" or "It's the worst I've ever seen"...I want my mindset to be clean going in.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: The Spoiler Tag Rules
Just seems abit harder in threads cause you might not always know what you're clicking into when you click the spoiler tags. At the very least, I think people should prob explain/preview what is in their spoiler tag instead of just posting a spoiler tag with no explanation of what it talks about.Comment

Re: The Spoiler Tag Rules
I think we can all agree that previews are meant to attract an audience, yes? For somebody who is already interested in a show, they have me at the name of the show... they don't need to tell me what's going to happen next, I'll wait to see that myself. In that regard, I definitely don't feel the same way.
My friend and I just had this conversation on Facebook about Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? having this issue, before the show airs no less.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The Spoiler Tag Rules
A lot of differing opinions makes it tough to set a precedent.
Some don't want any spoiler tags, they just say 'stay out of the thread'. Some want spoiler tags for long times after.
Will definitely have to consider this more guys.Comment

Re: The Spoiler Tag Rules
I appreciate it when people do this rather than just using a spoiler tag.

Re: The Spoiler Tag Rules
Of course, as others above me just stated, knowing what's behind the spoiler tag is also as important, otherwise literally everyone could be spoiler-tagging and no one would have any idea whether it's that kind of spoiler they're okay with reading or not.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The Spoiler Tag Rules
I am personally fine with TV shows. Maybe a week for Movies and Netflix shows. Because not everybody can rush to a theater to see a movie that opening weekend. And not everybody has the time to watch 11 or episodes of a Netflix show over one weekend.Comment

Re: The Spoiler Tag Rules
Spoiler previews for next weeks show only.
Not sure why anyone needs to go into a movie or show thread after it is out and they haven't seen it. The opinions here won't vary from the masses on if the movie is any good or not.

Re: The Spoiler Tag Rules
What about mentioning a "spoiler" outside of the shows thread topic. I don't mean go into the OT thread and be like "I can't believe ___ died in the movie!"(for a movie that is still in theaters). But if you're just bringing up a shocking moment from a TV show that happened several months ago(or maybe even X amount of years for the show or movie), would that be required to use spoiler tags?
So what if someone is guest starring on a show in a future episode(but you don't know when),would that be ok to mention it, or not?Comment

Re: The Spoiler Tag Rules
I meant a tv show episode from several months ago, or something like a movie from years ago(since movies are in theaters for a number of months and then released on dvd awhile after that,so it could be a year from the time it first came out in theaters before someone might watch dvd of that movie for first time)Comment

Re: The Spoiler Tag Rules
SpoilerThe Ward-May stuff was basically done to show that Ward could have a relationship with the most serious/unemotional person on the team, and be using her the entire time like he did the rest of the team.
Hydra stuff was good,it's just the secondary hydra members which weren't the best. And based on the S2 finale,I really hope those people they showed aren't gonna be returning, cause it'd make the henchmen look like a huge joke and can't take those guys seriously.
Though S2 did have alot of questionable stuff. Why kill Tripp! And turned Ward into a secondary character for alot of it. And then his relationship with that other agent wasn't good.
Now the bold is a major spoiler.
Now S2 just came on Netflix on 6/12. So should Majingir have put the part of (spoiler) in Spoilers or not?Last edited by kehlis; 06-21-2015, 03:19 PM.Comment

Re: The Spoiler Tag Rules
Also may want to spoiler your response to me in case you think that's a spoiler that shouldn't have been given.
To me, there is a big difference between spoiling something in a thread dedicated to the movie/show in question versus a random thread such as that one or the OT thread where anything and everything can be discussed.
If I don't want to see a potential spoiler in a particular movie or show it's easy for me to avoid that thread but it's impossible to know to avoid the OT thread if a spoiler is posted.Comment
