How do you reserve the upgrade on Windows 8.1? Haven't ever seen that icon in the bottom right yet, and have no idea what the get windows 10 app thing is...The FAQ on microsofts site doesn't help at all since it refers to things I don't even see.

You need to make sure Windows Update is enabled. I know some people like to not have updates occur automatically so they keep it off. The app shows up automatically as a <b>Windows icon</b> in your system tray at the bottom right-hand side of your screen.

I have had it for about 2 weeks and I love it. Runs smooth and just is well put together. I'm a windows phone user also, and I couldn't use any other platform again. I'm in the MS preview program so I have all the early builds. Just liking alot of what im seeing from MS at this point with 10

With the SNAFUs with OS upgrades on my Droid Turbo I'm close to hopping on the next high-end windows phone released myself.

If you install the update from KB3035583, you should get that taskbar icon.

I have that update installed but still don't see anything....

I even made sure every single previous update has been installed and still don't see anything!

I have a friend who is also set up right but has night received the update yet.
Might just cycle through users and doesn't hit everyone at once..??

I think I know the answer,but just asking incase it's diff.

Will the Windows 10 upgrade include any sort of new files? Like will there be a new version of Microsoft Office that comes with the upgrade? Or new version of any sort of Microsoft program at all?

Office is independent of the OS. Office 2013 is the latest and that's a separate license. I assume you'll get new versions of the standard built in Windows applications (Task manager, explorer, IE, Windows Defender, etc), but outside of that, don't expect upgrades to any software you purchased or had to download.

Too bad,cause I really need an upgrade.Cause for some reason my office 2010 has been messed up since the day I got it. It still works,but I get the annoying verification message everytime,even though my computer did come with a code for office,it didn't work.

Internet explorer is not in Windows 10 right? Didn't they finally ditch it and create a brand new browser
