Re: General Hulu Thread
wow, not impressed...pretty dorky execution. Some really great ideas but how it is done is sort of like campy and not what I was expecting. It presents itself like The Twilight Zone in its ideas but then it acts as if its Mystery Science Theater when you're watching it or something.
Oddly enough though I may watch more just because of the subject matter and how it gets me thinking. But some of these episodes just go on too long.
Good example of that is the first one, fantastic idea but just went on and on and overstayed its welcome.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Season 2 of 12 Monkeys was added a couple of weeks ago. 12 Monkeys is quietly one of the best sci-fi shows ever and easily the best time travel show of all time.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Could be interesting but it's kind of a bummer to learn that theSpoileractress who plays the mother at the very beginning of the trailer died unexpectedly during filming. Just a small sampling of her revealed a very endearing character. She will be in the first five episodes and will not be recast.

Re: General Hulu Thread
I'm really enjoying The Looming Tower, a miniseries about events leading up to the 9/11 attacks and how the US government missed all the warning signs of the impending attack.
That said, it focuses heavily on the bureaucratic turf wars between the CIA and FBI, so if you're expecting agents busting down doors and collaring al-Qaeda suspects non-stop, prepare to be disappointed.I write things on the Internet.

Re: General Hulu Thread
Agreed on Looming Tower. I look forward to watching that every Wednesday and then Homeland on Sunday nights.
I switched over to Hulu with Live TV back in August, and put my Dish account on 'pause' for 3 months, to see if I could make it thru the NFL season (check), then NCAA hoops (check), and then March Madness (check). Pretty sure I'm killing off Dish this summer.
I have the HBO and Showtime add-ons and it's worked great! I can use my Hulu credentials for other streaming services like WatchESPN and Fox Sports GO and the like.
But back to Looming Tower: I really like the all the interagency dynamics and the storyline of events leading up to each big event. The actors they got for some of the more notable terrorists is pretty dang good. When al-Zawahiri (who looks spot on) was talking to Mohommed Atta the first time in the tent, I was like, "That's Atta!" before his name came up in the subtitles. It's kind of eerie.XBox Gamertag: djbeth77

Re: General Hulu Thread
Hulu lowers the $14.99 monthly charge of their HBO add on to $4.99 per month for six months to coincide with the second season premiere of Westworld which debuts April 22. The offer is available right now and a free week MIGHT be involved.
